Were arriving late into florida, so were staying the first night off site at Caribe Royale resort in one of their suites since there is 6 of us. Was wondering if anyone stayed there and what they thought of it. Thanks!

I didn't get much of a response from this board when I was researching this hotel a few months ago. We ended up choosing DTD Doubletree suites with the mousesavers.com discount that includes free breakfast. If you are driving the Caribe is just a little closer to the parks (according to the Unofficial Guide). Caribe doesn't have continous buses to the parks, they only run every 4 hours. My parents are going with us & they plan on using the bus services so we went with DT for that reason. Caribe's pool does look great though. I guess it depends on your needs.

We are staying here, next month, and I can't find any information regarding the times for the shuttles or where they go (to each park or just to the TTC)

Do you happen to know what times the buses start running. Are they every four hours from, say 8am? So if we missed the first bus, we would have to wait until noon?

Do you know if they have a separate bus for each park?

We usually stay on-site and use Disney transportation, which we love and are spoiled by, but this trip we're only going to WDW once. We're visiting Universal all the other days and will have a car. Would it be better to just drive ourselves to the parks we plan on visiting in WDW?

Hi, when I wanted to know similar details I just e-mailed our hotel and asked, and they responded with the times etc. If you go on cariberoyale.com the e-mail form is on there.

Dopey Sharon - that's bad customer service. Hope someone else can help you

Hi

I just stayed at Caribe last week for 3 nites with wife and
2 kids.

We loved it!

The pool is awesome as well as the rooms. They have a seperate
living room with a door that closes on the 2 queen bedroom. This
was perfect for us for a few coktails after the kids went to bed.
Also there is a refridge and sink in the living room.

We have stayed on WDW property our last trips and while the transportation
is a bit more convenient-- I won't hesitate to stay at Carribe next
time.

We drove our car in (about 2 miles) to MK and parking and shuttle
were a breeze. Same thing returning at 10 at nite.

We loved Caribe Royale. We were in one of the bungalows and the place was great. Very roomy. Pools are fantastic and the location is great, too. The restaurant (one was closed) was good (it was the more casual of the two). We did the shuttle to WDW one day and it was okay - ended up just driving the rest of the time as we wanted to be on our own schedule.

I'd stay at Caribe Royale again in a heartbeat!

Can either of you elaborate on the shuttles? When do they start running and how often? Do they have one shuttle for each park or is it one shuttle that stops at each park?

DH and I will be at the Caribe in 2 weeks for a convention. Ususally we stay onsite, but did not have a choice this trip. The beauty of this is the company is paying for our trip so I will not complain. We are curious about the shuttles also. If worse comes to worse we will taxi it.
