Any opinions of Olivia's at Old Key West?

We are thinking about eating there.... so we are looking into any opinions anyone might have

We like Olivia's. It's a pleasant place to have a meal and the servers are always very friendly and attentive. Have a great time!

We just ate there this past Friday night for dinner. We arrived around 9:45pm (they close at 10!), but everyone was friendly and the service was great. DH and I had prime rib which was just delicious. Our girls had spaghetti and meatballs. I highly recommend the desserts. We took 3 back to our room - deep dish apple pie ala mode, apple dumpling topped w/bananas in a yummy sauce & cappuccino creme brulee. None of it lasted long. It was sinful.

we had a last minute meal there in Sept last year. The resort was empty because it was after hurricanes. Anyway - the meal was excellent - one of the best we had. I had a steak that was delicious!!!

Olivia's is at the top of my list, when I'm in the mood for a friendly welcome in a relaxed atmosphere. Mmmmm homey comfort food. Best pork chops ever!

I was very reluctant to eat at Olivia's during my May trip last year to OKW it just didn't really appeal to me but let me tell you it's one of my must dos now. The breakfast is really something else. It's quiet and everyone is so friendly. We also ate dinner there one night it rained (we didn't feel like going far) and that was also very good. You'll have a a great meal and nice relaxing time!

We really like it a lot. It's nothing too fancy. Just good food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Enjoy!!!

We ate there in May 04 and although the food didn't impress us, the atmosphere was so wonderful, we'd have gone back for that alone! See if you can sit on the patio - the view of the river and marina and OKW buildings is just very relaxing.

I understand the menu has changed since we ate there so we look forward to trying it again. OKW is a magnificent resort and so is Olivia's.

Since it's located at my home resort, we eat there quite often. Love it! Great breakfasts - try the breakfast potatoes! - and lunch is served until 5:00. Casual, relaxing atmosphere. Great service. Prefer late lunch to dinner - not enough variety, IMHO - but any meal is enjoyable here.

There is a DVC member discount -- I think it's 10% but you can check the DVC perks on the member site for that.

I recommend the pancakes with with pineapple chutney stuff (don't remember the actual name, but they always have it). I always ask for a side of this with my toast, too. It's my absolute favorite breakfast item (Just barely beating out the pineapple macadamia pancakes and Tonga Toast at Kona).

We liked the atmosphere and looking at the pictures on the walls. We found the wait staff to be a bit rushed and disorgranized. I think it may have just been a bad night for them. I ordered a steak, medium-well, and of all things, they brought we a VERY well done piece of prime rib. I have never heard of prime rib being served well done. I was shocked. In any event, I sent it back without second thought, and received my correct order about 15 minutes later.

I think, even with all that, we would probably give them a second try. I am hoping it was just an off night. I cant imagine anyone would screw up prime rib like that on a regular basis. The steak I did order was good and cooked correctly.

My husband had some crab cakes there that he really liked and I thought the caesar salad was very good.
