Any opinions - Alamo or National at LAX?

I have an intermediate sized car reserved at LAX through both National and Alamo. Does anyone have any experience with either at LAX? They both seem to be off-site.

I'm an Emerald Club member, but don't have any memberships with Alamo. My DH thinks it might be worth the extra $30 to stay with National and get our EA benefits. But I don't know.

Any experience would be helpful! We leave tomorrow!

There are no onsite car rental locations at LAX. Most are within 2 miles of LAX. Alamo and National are in the same location, and are serviced by the same shuttle bus. If I were you, I would pay the extra $30 to skip the lines, as the location can get VERY busy during the peak travel times...
