Any one watch these? Gay Days 2009

Mom seems a little taken back, but the kid looks happy just to have his Ice Cream! :lmao:

I think if you watch them close enough they might be praying :lmao:

I'm sorry I think that's funny. But with all the terrible wars famines and the such going on in this world, I can think of a lot more worthwhile things to pray for.

I couldn't really see them well enough to determine WHAT they were doing. The one little kid was totally into the ice cream. :rotfl2: I like how the CM comes along at the end and says "Congratulations. You need to move because the parade is coming NOW!" :rotfl:

Actually, the little boy DID clap, he was so sweet...the mom on the other hand, she was WAY out of her element. :rotfl2:

That's awesome! Such a cute couple, with what appear to be great friends! :woohoo:
What was up with the lesbians who decided to have a reunion right in front of the camera? Hello, it's not like it wasn't obvious that they were taping that for those guys! How rude!

And love the fact that the mother with the cross on her shirt was trying so hard to be somewhere else. :lmao:

I watched it again.
I wish I could read what it says on the one little boy's shirt. The mom does look rather uncomfortable.
I wonder who sat down first? :rotfl2: Did ALL those people in the red shirts just close in around that unsuspecting family? I'm sure that's the story they tell, but I wonder.

OMG I KNOW THEM!!

I've known Thomas for years, and I missed the engagement party after the park 'cause I forgot about it. Thanks so much for posting this, I'll have to put it on Facebook when I get home since Thomas is on my friends list and we know a lot of the same people :goodvibes

I have no idea why they did that, it was not like it was not noticeable!

That is so cool! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Tell him we all loved it!

You could totally see the fact that she wasn't comfortable with what was happening WARRING with the fact that she had primo, front row parade seats. :rotfl:

Nice video. The couple look very happy together! ConcK you WOULD know them! LOL!

I thought the Mother looked a little confused, but otherwise, not too bad. She could have been blatantly rude instead of just stupid, eh?

The two women seemed oblivious! They never even looked at the camera, so perhaps they really didn't catch what was going on (with the camera person, not the proposal).

I hope the couple have/had a great marriage!!!

ConcK, can you provide an update? :teeth:

They havent gotten married yet, but since they live in Macau now I'm not fully up-to-date on their plans :goodvibes

Instead of making fun of the mom, why not accept her for whom she is, as gay/lesbians want to be accepted, and be thankful that at least she wasn't rude. As for the remark about her wearing a cross, since when does believing in GOD make one a bad person? We are all on our own journey in life and hopefully learning as we go.
rpmdfw: love your mini dachs. we have 2.

I would say that nine times out of 10, when people wear religious shirts to Gayday it is to be intentionally rude to the gay people attending.

I don't believe that I read anything where someone said believing in God makes someone a bad person. Plenty of people on this board believe in God, in one way or another, God, Buddha, Allah, whoever... and their beliefs have never, to my knowledge, ever come under any type of attack.

I, for example, am a very active Christian. I am a member of my churches permanent Diaconate and work for the church full time. I am also a Sunday School teacher. I have never read a negative word about my commitment to my church or to the higher power of my choosing, God.

What's with all the stuffed animals on the blanket behind them? Sorry ... I look at details.

I wear a relatively noticeable cross everyday, since I was about 15 and I'm 52 now, and will be wearing it when we go to disney in Nov. I don't know if it will be a special day for anyone that might take offense, but no offense is intended on my part. My faith has been a constant in my life that has gotten me through many devastating times in my life. My faith brings me a peace that this world can't give.
As I said before, we are all on a journey and unless if someone insults you directly, don't assume that they are judging you.
