Any one use the touring plans fast pass availability?

My FP day is coming up on Friday. I have been looking at the availability tracker that touring plans has and already i am pretty much seeing that we will not be able to get SDD at our 60+4 and FOP is looking dicey as well. Has anyone looked/compared availability on the touring plans site (with it showing no/limited availability)and actually had luck getting your desired FP?

Here is another site that predicts FPP availability. You could use both and maybe get a sense of what to expect.

Nonetheless, get in there at your first chance and you might get lucky. Someone gets all those FPPs. It could be you.

I used it in the days leading up to our FP+ day to check availability as well. It ended up leading us to switch our days around in order to get SDD and FoP (we basically had to bump those 2 parks by a day in order to get the FPs we wanted). It meant a little bit of reworking our ADRs as well, but we fortunately didn't have any must do ADRs for those days. We got SDD for 60+5 and FoP for 60+4. We are going in 22 days (not that I'm counting or anything)

While i love Touring Plans, etc, I've neve understood the point of a site predicting FP availability. When its my day to get FPs, I either get it or I don't. Becasue the FP predictor says I'm not likely to a FP to attraction "x" doesn't mean I'm not going to look and try. I always have a backup for any super popular attraction FP that I'm not able to get.

My understanding of TP is that it is not a predictor, but actual availability from whatever time they last pulled the data (usually at some point in the previous 24 hours). We are traveling with a group of 10 and I booked all FPs so I had to prep people in advance that it was looking like availability for the days we wanted to do HS and Ak was dropping rapidly. Everyone in my party agreed it was safest to just bump the days by one where it was clear we would be able to get what we wanted. We did check the original days and TP was correct, there were no FPs for SDD or FoP, but we had made our plan to move on so all was good.

My HS day (60+2, Nov 29) shows SDD gone which I expected, but it also shows TSMM as unavailable. TP website says that's when a ride didn't have FPs distributed, but I haven't heard anyone griping that there's no TSMM that week. Does that just mean they don't have data for it?

Wow I've subscribed to TP for the past two years and didn't know you could look up the FP availability before your day opens! I will definitely be keeping an eye on this now in the next two weeks before my FP day. Fingers crossed for SDD!!

I asked this on the FP Facts page too, but I was wondering if the FP windows are always and only at specific times for each ride? The availability on TP shows RnR has 10:00, 10:45, 11:00, 11:40, 12:25, etc. And ToT has 10:05, 10:40, 11:00, 11:40, 12:05, etc.

On day of, when refreshing, are these still the only windows available? Or do they fill in FPs with closer windows? ie windows every 10-15 minutes. So I'd possibly be able to adjust to an 11:15 instead of 11:00 or 11:40 for ToT.

It's a planning tool. You might switch up your park days on the front end to get a more desired ride. Maybe you highly value SDD so you put DHS on day five instead of day three because you see more FP availability there. You might have to sacrifice better availability of SDMT to do so, but you want to check out the new hotness.

Oh poop! That's right! Well, so far everything I want looks good in that there are lots of slots, except SDD which has none. My FOP day is late in the trip, so I feel good about that one. My day is Friday so crossing my fingers that everything still looks good tomorrow!

Tomorrow is my fast pass day. I didn't know Touring Plans showed availability either, but just checked it out. I am just going to do the best I can. I hate having to plan out every little detail of where I have to be at what time for the fast passes instead of just leisurely going where I want to go and enjoying things. If I make a fast pass and can't make it, I can't make it. I think FOP is the most important one to get, so hopefully I can get 1 or 2 of those.
