Hi, I was looking at the GF and wondering how similiar the themeing is to the DLH at paris? they both seem to have a similiar victorian theme.

As we are staying at the DLH next year wondering if its worth staying here if the themeing is similliar, any thoughts.

Hi DLH in DLRP is Disney themed, where as the GF is not so much. I love both hotels, but DLH more, I just wish that DLH was in WDW not DLRP!!!!
The DLH is the entrance to the MK so you do not have any walking or waiting for a bus, very handy if you are going in the winter. It is more expensive than the GF, but then everything is in DLRP, compared to WDW.
You will have a wonderful time at the DLH, everyone should stay there once, but I would rather spend the money by staying at a cheaper hotel at WDW.....but thats just me(and I have been to DLRP over 60 times!)

We've stayed at both. With regards to the theming they are fairly similar in my opinion. Personally, we probably prefer the Disneyland Hotel in Paris for two reasons:
1. Location - yes the GF is close to the MK, but being over the entrance is unbeatable!
2. Service - both have great service but I personally found it difficult to differentiate the GF from the other WDW resorts in terms of it being the "flagship" hotel, whereas there is a noticeable and exceptional difference between the cast members at the DLH and the cast members throughout the rest of DLRP.

In my opinion, they shouldn't really be compared. If you enjoyed the DLH in Paris then, chances are, you will like the GF too. Obviously the GF has lots more facilities (beaches, nicer pool, more restaurants...) but then so have all of the WDW resorts compared to the DLRP hotels.

I don't see any reason why the similarity in theming should affect whether or not you choose to stay at the GF. :)
