First few minutes I have been in the house much less sitting down. I put about 150 miles on the Suburban today just running kids here and there! It is so nice to know that I can run in and sit down, lift the top of my lap top and find you all here!!!!!

Has everyone been wishing Helen Pixie Dust????? pixiedust: The good news is that it is shorter than Lent!

So, who has seen Cars??? popcorn:: Abby got to go. Taking the boys on Monday afternoon. My folks LOVED it! :cheer2:

So...who in this awesome group is dressing up for Pirate Night???? pirate: All I can do is anticipate the movie!!!! Wouldn't it be awesome if they had REAL movie popcorn on nights that they showed the movies????

Will anybody join us for at least one of the auctions??? We had fun the last couple of times...oh, and we learned something in the process!!!!

Talk with y'all later! :wave2: Remember Helen...we are all here for you!!!!
tif

Hey, Tif. My kids are dressing for Pirate's night, and DH and I will at least have shirts, if we don't dress in costume.

We saw Cars last Sunday evening, and it was awesome. I loved it as much as my boys did.

We have never done an auction on board, but might be up for it. Very interested to learn your advice....

Helen -- love your countdown -- :wizard: for help with the next few weeks of Disney silence...

Hey Flo, Jen, and all other fellow cruisers! Hope you all have a great weekend!

MORNING!!!!! :sunny:

Well, as Flo knows, Illinois has decided to do a 180. We went from our chilly week last week to hot and oppressive! UGH!!! OH well, IT'S STILL SUMMER!!! :cool1:

Hey Jen...as to the swing thing, your husband is right! It probably sounds really weird. My DH paid for undergrad with golf and played competitively for several years after. However, he did not play baseball for years because of it. This summer we have had to make a change. We had baseball games in our backyard at least two nights a week...basketball once or twice and soccer here and there. Always flashlight tag and kick the can! Anyway, Iain's...our middle child, swing got all screwed up! So far Alec and Abby have been unaffected. Iain's coach has told him he now needs to make a choice. Very difficult to thrust on an 11 year old. He has chosen to pursue golf. Good news is they can still play pretty much everything else!
OH...do your kids surf? Abby and Iain learned at Typhoon Lagoon with Craig Carroll. This year they are going to surf camp in Cocoa Beach with Craig Carroll. I am so nervous about sharks!

Well...I'll check in later all! Gotta take Abby for her sizing and ordering of her uniform for next year. Only ONE place you are allowed to get from! It will be good!

Better run
Best of Days all!!!

Hi Tif,

The boys are learning to surf. They usually boogie board and DH is teaching them how to surf right now. Though last time Jonathan (10) went surfing he fell off his board and got a big cut on his leg that needed 9 stitches :sad2:

But when you live on an Island it is hard to stay out of the water. Soon we'll start practicing our snorkeling again so the kids are comfortable with it for our cruise. We are planning on bringing our own snorkeling gear.

I finally made another door sign yesterday...got 4 so far. Since we have 2 rooms I think I need to make a couple more though DH is making fun of me. I also made my first shirts for the kids....did this mostly for fun. Have to make sure they hold us in the wash first before I make more. Here's the link to some pics of the tshirts.

Time to go...talk to you all later.

Jen

Jen....

GREAT shirts!!! :thumbsup2 I have not been that productive. Somehow I have gotten myself wrangled into doing crafts for our school bazaar...so now my creativity is being directed there. I am working on 4 different canvases. Got a fifth one completed...did the playbill cover of WICKED. Turned out pretty good. We are debating doing a bunch of Broadway style canvases. The ones I am working right now though are Tink, a palm tree scene, a giant flower with inspirational wording...for a girl's room, and then a surf scene.
Believe it or not, I am also working on Christmas wreaths and trees. These are the things I do at 1 in the morning! Insane...yet keeps me from being overly psycho during the day!

How do you do the magnets? I know there is a link...but I need REALLY simple! Truly!

Talk with you guys later! Let me know how the surfing went! Do you worry about sharks at all????

Jen, The shirts are great! Nic job. :thumbsup2 So far we have one sign for the door. My DH said he going to make more. We will see.

Tef, I agree with you about the weather. Last we we were wearing light jackes this week it is tank tops and shorts. Oh Well! Lieve here long enought to know expect anything. :sunny:

Jen -- Awesome job on the shirts!!

Okay Gang...need Pixie Dust from ALL!!!!!

Tomorrow is the first round of a two day tournament. It is a local tournament, but one of the longest running junior tournaments in the country.
Iain faced his first loss last year. This is his last year in the event. Next year will be Alec's last year. The thing about this for Iain is that there is one kid who has really gotten into his head and messed him up. Iain is my thinker, while all three have big hearts...Iain takes EVERYTHING to heart. Part of what irks us, is that the other young man plays very ungentlemanly. We have seen him throw clubs, be verbally abusive, and simply rude. Everyone can have a day where they slip, but this kid does this all the time. Please pray for Iain to simply play his own game and to have fun. Win or lose, as long as he plays well we are okay! If Alec is thinking...he will play great. Pixie Dust all around if you please!!!

Also, Helen...posted on the amnesty site...wishing you buckets of pixie dust! You are one day closer!!!

See you all some time tomorrow!

Good Morning!!!! :sunny:

Well, our morning was okay! I think the prayers and Pixie Dust helped though. Iain started off a bit rough, but pulled out a 36 for 9 holes. They play 9 tomorrow as well. It is the only nine whole per day tournament they play in together. Usually they play 18. Alec, started off okay...but really faltered. He ended up letting his attitude bring him down...He will be okay. Iain feels that tomorrow he can knock off a few more strokes!!!! So now we are having to pray for no lightening tomorrow morning!!!

Keep the PD coming! Thanks guys!

Helen...you can do it!!!!

Helen...I just love your countdown! Sure is helping to build the excitement.

Today my DD ( 31 months) said the cutest thing. I ordered some new Disney pajamas for her and it came in today. I ordered her the Incredibles style....she just loves that movie....and when she had it on she said "this is perfect for the cruise" :teeth: I was so excited to hear her say that!
