Any one on 7-29-06 / 7 Night Western!!!! Is Back

Hi Shanna,

Welcome to our board.

This is going to get really confusing for me as I have just booked the 28th July 2007 11 night med cruise. So when IM on this cruise I can say I'll be here next year - exactly.

I'm so thrilled I can't type!
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

 :cheer2: Just got my All Easrs new letter and look what was in it. I am happy about this. :thumbsup2

As of April 8, the Disney Cruise Line's 7-night Western Caribbean itinerary on the Disney Magic will again include Cozumel as a port-of-call. Since Fall 2005, when the island was hit by Hurricane Wilma, the Magic has bypassed this stop. Since the cruise ship pier has not yet been fully repaired, cruisers will be taken ashore by tenders. Vacationers will have to be aboard the Magic by 5:30 p.m. that day, since the ship will leave Cozumel at 6 p.m.

CONGRATULATIONS Mrs.Jobba1 :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I'll have to live through your excitement....I would love to go on the MED cruise but our kids are too young and its too far right now. I glad you got what you wanted!

Also happy to hear that we are going to Cozumel. Our last time there DH and I went to Chankanaab park and had a great time snorkeling and relaxing. I'm sure the kids would enjoy it also.

Just curious what time dinner everyone has...we have the early seating....with young kids I know they won't make it to late seating :teeth:

Good morning - :sunny:

I seemed to have calmed down a little from yesterday ( only just)

We have late seating for dinner
:thumbsup2

HI Guys!!!!

Marcij--my boys LOVE ping pong, and basketball, and chip it golf!!!! We will definitely have them get together.

Shanna, we were fortunate enough to the 7 day Christmas cruise this year on the Magic and the changes were wonderful! The spa is truly decadent! Plan to treat yourself and DH to a spa villa!!!! WOW!!! We did the oil and would recommend doing a different treatment. My DH felt that the massage itself was a bit light. He'll go back, but do the stones or something.!
The JumboTron is great! Pirates in the Caribbean after the Pirate party was cool! Just think, Dead Man's Chest opens on July 7th!! We are hoping for double feature!
While some areas looked great, others seemed like they didn't get spruced up as much as they needed...but we still love it!

Great day to everyone!

MrsJobba1-- congrats on booking the Med! I would love to do this, but my kids are a little young to appreciate anything other than a beach....so we'll pass.

We have early seating -- my boys would never last through late seating -- they'd rather go to the club after dinner.

Hey everybody...

Great idea on getting boys together a little early! This will be our 11th DCL cruise...we're junkies! The boys enjoyed the clubs the first few times but they mentioned that you can only make Flubber so many times. They really enjoy basketball! Our youngest...will be 10...also loves to get his dad and head down to Diversions for a game of backgammon! Did you know they got Foosball tables onboard now??? DSs 10 and turning 12 on the ship! Also have a 14 at the time DD...who also lives on the BBALL court.

We prefer the Eastern, but the way our summer schedule worked out we needed the Western. The Eastern to us lets you chill a little be more. We really enjoy our sea days! Crew seems to really like Western. Plus, the people on St. Maarten have really enchanted us!

We are early dining. Anybody else?
See ya

We have the early seating as well, but I'm still debating whether or not to change to the later. We've done early seating everytime and I'm just thinking we might like to try the other to have it be a bit less crowded and see what it's like going to the 1st show.

I'm so excited to hear about the changes on the Magic. I usually do at least a few spa treatments, but I've never managed to get my husband in for any except the surial (sp?) bath on our first cruise. What is this "villa" I'm hearing about? Is it just a new area for couples' treatments? Anything I can take advantage of if dh isn't willing to participate?

Someone on the main DCL thread asked for ideas for taking their Christmas card picture on board. I posted this picture, then thought I would just go ahead and post here too, so you can see the family. Keep in mind that this was taken two years ago...

:thumbsup2 Great picture! What a nice looking family. ;)

Beautiful picture Marci! I like seeing who our cruisemates will be! :thumbsup2

This is our family taken last July at Disneyland. :sunny:

:thumbsup2 Great picture of the famiily jmatias Here is a picture of my family. It is from 2004. Mind you my son is 60 pounds lighter. He would kill me if he know I posted it. I don't like pictures of myself. They were just up there enjoying the day. ;)

Very cute family, Jmatias!

Flo -- your two are handsome, as well....but you have to post a picture of you, too!

Don't be surprised if you see the same outfit on me on this cruise....I've only worn it that one night, and one night in Vegas, plus it's so comfortable so I'm thinking I'll wear it again and get more use out of it....more money for the spa....

Marci...no worries about the outfit! It looks great on you and I agree about "more money for the spa" :thumbsup2

What excursions is everyone planning on doing? With our DD (2) it kind of limits our excursions somewhat but I still would like our kids to do something on the Islands besides the beach....since we have a lot of that at home :sunny:

Marci: ;) I don't know about a picture of me. I don't take many of them.

HI Everyone! Great photos!!!! I don't remember who was asking about the Christmas card, but we have had ours done on the ship the last few years and loved it! We get great responses from our friends!!! Then again, they have to be nice!!! Actually...it is very resonable and they turn out great! You will be happy you do it! If I knew how to put photos online, I would let post one of them...maybe someday!!!

Have a great day! Drove down to Disney last night from Illinois...through hail, tornados and lots of rain! Grateful we made it!

Tomspixie: What part of Illinois? We are in the northwest suburbs. Drove down to Disney? Pleasure I hope. Glad you made it safe. I have to ask are you leaveing out of O'hare in July or driving? If you are flying do you have your air fare yet? I have been looking and I can not believe the prices. By now I usualy have it book. Have a safe trip back and I hope the weather is better. :sunny:

HI Wltdsnyfan,

We live in Peoria. Which Suburb are you in? My brother and sister-in-law are in Naperville, and I have cousins all over up there!!!!
As to July, we will be driving down. We are fortunate enough to have a second home in Windermere and so spend the month of July here! We shoot for as much time as possibe. Someday it will be home, but we really do like the schools and the atmosphere of raising a family in the midwest! Not better or worse than anywhere else, but just know EVERYONE!!! And all of our kids friends families! It is a definite bonus! Not a guarantee things can't go wrong, but at least a help.

By the way, I'm Tiffany. Or Tif...whatever you are comfortable with.

Thanks for the hope for better weather. It was definitely scary!
