Does Cedar Point have a special pass like Disney for autistic children? Thanks for any info or possible place to check.

Cedar Point is not good with my CP kid - - I hope you get some more positive answers re: autistic kids. I just know I won't go again. We tried year after year after year to make it work , and it just couldn't.

I sent them an email and they answered me back in a few days. I asked about which days were less busy, so we didn't have to stand in line.

I don't think there is such a day at cedar point. Worst lines I've ever encountered anyplace, This was over several visits at different times. I'd be interested in what they say.

Hopefully, you will see the response I received, I'm not great at computers. I don't know if we'll try it, especially with gas at $2.50 a gallon.

Here goes:

Thank you for your interest in Cedar Point.

Cedar Point’s Ride Admission Policy and Special Access Entrances are designed to help you safely experience our facilities. Rides with Special Access designations will make boarding easier. If you require use of a Special Access Entrance to enter a ride, please visit the Park Operations Office or Town Hall to obtain a Ride Admissions List and Rider Safety Guide.

In an effort to be fair to all our guests, those requesting the use of our Special Access Entrances will be asked to obtain a boarding time from the ride entrance host/hostess. Guests may rest in a comfortable spot until the boarding time expires and then enter the ride via the Special Access Entrance. This service is for a Guest with a Disability and a maximum party size of four. If there are six or more members of the party, four guests will be permitted to use the Special Access Entrance while all other guests in the party must enter the line.

For more information about Special Access for your son, please see the web site at:

Cedar Point recommends visiting on Tuesday, Wednesday

or Thursday, when attendance is lower. The months with the

lowest attendance are May, June and September.

This is how Six Flags was in california and I wrote to them every day for about 6 months and they FINALLY changed there policy with a fast pass type system. Before you had to wait at the exit for up to two hours at a time and I had to explain to them that it is not possible for a child with ASD to do this.
Now you get a time and you come back later which is much better then just making a child stay at an exit for extended periods of time.
I have not gone yet to test the new system but we plan to go sometime this summer.

How old is your child, and what type of rides are you hoping to ride with him/her? I don't have much experience with disabilities, but I do go to Cedar Point several times a year and I might be able to make some suggestions to help you trip go a little smoother and help you avoid some of the longer lines. Also when are you hoping to visit?
