Looking for reports from those of you who have had just a basic Escape Wedding. No enhancements added. Did you feel it was special and personal enough?

We had just a few small enhancements and I don't think they made a huge difference overall, so I think it would have still been just as special. We had a little extra floral for the family and an upgraded cake (dh really wanted it). The basic escape package is great as it is and I don't think you would be disappointed!

We had an Escape VR and we had minor enhancements. For example, my bouquet ended up cost $31 more (because we wanted only red & white roses), we purchased a few bags of the rose petals, and the major upgrade was the photography - we upgraded to the Cinderella D package (which was $750). I provided the decorations for the WP (only candles for the altar and bows for the pews) which only cost us about $50 max.

We felt it was perfect for us. I also believe that if we were doing an actual wedding (not a VR) it would have been perfect too. To us the most important thing is/was the photos. The Wedding Pavilion is stunning and doesn't need a lot of enhancements. Just my opinion. :)

I had a basic escape wedding at Sunset Point. The only extras that we got was a small cake upgrade (I liked a design that wasn't offered in our package) and we bought the cake server set.

The wedding was wonderful. We were treated fabulously by the Disney staff and I don't regret having an escape wedding one bit!

I had the basic escape wedding. We hired an outside photographer and had flower petals...those were the only upgrades.

We also had a basic Escape package and thought it was definitely special and personal! The only enhancements we added were an outside photographer, tossing petals and floral on our cake.

FYI, there is another option. I have a friend who was going to do an escape wedding because she was a "bride on a budget" but she found a great alternative at the WDW Swan and Dolphin. It was about half the price and she still got her very special personal touches like a horse and carriage, etc. She was thrilled she went this route.

We went with a Basic Escape wedding we added only a bridesmaid bouquet and best man's boutineer and we added Randy for a few hours but almost nothing else, litterally no decorations for the Yacht Club Gazebo and it was still, beautiful, personal and amazing! :cloud9:
