any one eat dinner at 1900...

We have reservations for 1900 Park Fare for Dinner and I was wondering what people think about it. We will be going with another adult and her three boys (6,8,9). Please give us some insite on what to expect. Thanks

You can wear your theme park clothes there. Shorts are fine though we did change into pants and a bit nicer shirts. It is a fun place with lots of character time , even for just is two adults.
The food is fine though I don;t think it is spectacular. I am not a prime rib fan but when I was there they had sliced ham too. The cassaroles were okay and one of them was delecious. There were nice breads and salads. I ended up eating some of the kids buffet. The Pizza rolls were really good.

We ate early in the evening and the characters spent a lot of time with my DD and she loved it. Piglet stayed in the lobby and coloured with the small kids and would pose for pictures. The food was decent for a buffet, but also rather expensive (as a Canadian, a $21 buffet translates into ~$36!!)....make sure you go hungry!

We had PS for 5:15 pm and it was quiet at the beginning of dinner, but was getting busier by the time we left. We thought the food was very good and loved the atmosphere (I love GF and carousels so I may be a bit biased). Boma is a better buffet at dinner, but no characters. THere is great interaction with Pooh, Eeyore and TIgger. They all hopped passed us numbers of times and our son got a hug from each of them at least twice. A picture and autograph only once as we didn't want to be greedy with time. I only wish that the cast members both at the door and the servers would re-iterate that the characters will come to your table. Constantly during our dinner kids and parents were lining up behind the characters as they tried to interact with the children at the tables. Some kids (and parents) would even follow or stand behind them either tapping or tugging on the characters. The cast member escort kept having to repeat himself and even then they didn't go back and sit down. At one point it got quite crowded around our table. All in all we all really liked 1900 and will definately eat there again.

We have eaten there several times because my kids like Pooh and friends. You'll get lots of time with the characters... they'll hug the kids, pose for pics, etc., but the food is pretty yucky. We ate there twice this year and both times it was gross. It tastes like somebody dumped a bunch of cheap TV dinners out in big bins. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE buffets and I don't expect anything spectacular, but to me it's really really bad. The only thing I eat are the chicken wings and the desserts. Luckily my boys are losing interest in Pooh so I don't think I'll ever have to eat there agian! LOL

My wife, 2 college age daughters and I ate there last month... it was very good. Food was well prepared and appeared fresh and hot. Wide selection of items from which to choose. Lots of character interaction... my family loves Tigger... and Pooh was a hit also... (but be nice to Piglet too... he looked a little lonely)
Service was very good... not too hard for a buffet but our server was very attentive at the right times.... she was also very friendly...
We would certainly do it again.... oh, they have good birthday cake and save some room for the bread pudding with vanilla sauce.. mmmm

We did not have any problem with families following the characters around the room... everyone was well behaved during our visit...

Thanks for all the great words. I got a little worried last night after reading the menu,a nd was looking to change the PS. The only other thing I wanted to do was the Backyard BBQ, but that was WAYYYY too expensive ($36.00 U.S= $50 Canadian yikes!). So we decided to stick with it. Thanks again for all your imput.

we ate there recently (arrived home Sunday Morning) it was a fantastic meal, the kids (boys 10 & 6) loved it but I will re-enforce what others have said get an early PS, we did and the amount of people waiting when we left was unbelieveable. My youngest son is not only a picky eater but also has a peanut allergy and they were fantastic, they arranged for a chef to go through the foods with me explaining the content etc. really helpful. The food was great, with a good variety except the kids which was the usual hotdog, burgers mac cheese but they could eat the adults food as well. We had a wonderful evening at a great restaurant.
