We have just booked for February next year. Told by UK tour operators how quiet it will be now find out from disers that due to Presidents Day in USA it will be very busy:goodvibes

We would like to see Fantasmic this time round as we have not managed to catch it on either of our last two visits. Has anyone tried any of the fantasmic packages and which of the three restaurants would you recommend for two adults and two children. (one of my children will be classed as an adult at 10 and may or may not like the choices on offer - the joys!)

Thanks for your help

We always book for the Fantasmic dinner package at the Hollywood and Vine...
During the show, the seating for the special section is off to the right, but still good seats. As for the three choices of restaurants, my kids love the Hollywood and Vine. It is a typical buffet, but we have never had a bad experience there. There are lots of choices, and our service has always been great! It is a little noisy compared to some of the other restaurants, but it is a buffet. You are going to have more kids and lots of people walking around, so it's bound to be a little noisy.
They have a kid's buffet, so there is something for everyone...
My kids would have a fit, if we skipped the Hollywood and Vine! I definitely recommend it...
As for Fantasmic...it is fabulous! You'll be glad that you didn't skip it this time around!

I personally would choose Hollywood and Vine as it's a Buffet, It's cheapest of 3 places to eat.
I've dined at Mama Melrose and it cost us 3 adults twice as much and food choices were limited when we did it not sure if this is still case or not.

H&V is one of the few places we will not go back to. Felt the quality of the food is just not there. YMMV :)

I prefer BD, but it is a tad pricey. I would give MM a try. Mixed reviews often, but many posters really enjoy it.

It is too bad your TA was not aware of US holidays. Thye second half of February is winter break for many states and the parks are very crowded during this time.

Last August we did the Mama Melrose Fantasmic Dinner Package and loved that we could play in the parks until "almost" the last minute and then see Fantasmic. Mama Melrose was very yummy and Fantasmic was awesome!:lovestruc In fact, we're going again during our next trip in June!

We did the Fantasmic Package at Mama Melrose when we were there in February (our trip was during President's Weekend). We weren't a huge fan of Mama Melrose. It was okay food, but nothing that really stands out. Our seats for the show were good though.

i too am taking 2 kids to H&V on the fatasmic package and have never been. i am going this july so i'll make sure to write and let you know. i chose it because it was where i got the most recommendations for. the other 2 restaurant choices didn't seem to appeal to the tastes of my 2 kids and they love buffets so i'm am sure they will have a ball. we have to try everything once right?

We do the Fantasmic Package and go to Mama Melrose. We have always had exemplary service and above average food. You can choose anything off the menu...there is not a special menu. We weren't fond of Brown Derby (just not our style) and there are only two places that we have dined at in Disney that we refuse to ever go back to--Boatwright's and Hollywood & Vine.

Thanks to you all for the feedback.

Candice30You will be home before we book at 180 days out so I would really appreciate your up-to-date feedback.

Thanks again.
