Any one attending a conference in June?

Just curious what types of conventions will be in the world during our stay. Is anyone attending a conventions in June and when?

There's a website that list all of the conventions taking place in the Orlando area.

I recall someone posting it once when people were trying to figure out if there were going to be any large groups at WDW during their trip.

Try doing a search on the planning boards maybe it'll come up.

We will be at the Mickey Mouse Club Reunion/Fan Convention June 14-15 at Coronado Springs!

The Disney resorts don't publish a list of conventions/conferences at their hotels due to privacy issues for the people holding the event. You can do a Web search and come up with different organizations' own sites about their conferences at WDW.

One of interest in June is the World of Barbie Convention at CSR June 24-28. That should be an interesting bunch!

The Mickey Mouse Club Convention must also be pretty special!

The Technology Students Association (TSA) is holding their national conference June 25-29 in Orlando, but at the Rosen Center, not Disney . The NH delegation is moving over to Disney property after the conference though, for an extra 3 day add on!!

This is a great program - usually about 2,000 middle/high school age students and their chaperones - both my older girls won their state competitions this year!

I'll be attending the National Barbie Convention! If this helps at all with you planning...Wednesday, 6-25, is set aside as a WDW day for those attending the convention. There are no other convention activities planned. Registration is Tues., 6-24. I believe registration is held to 1000 people (and then you'd need to figure in the family members that are with them) which shouldn't make an impact in attendance patterns. Thus., Fri. and Sat (6-26 to 28) there are lots of activities, all day, happening at the CSR Convention Center. For anyone who is interested...on Saturday the sales room is open to the public. Wonderful one of a kind designer dolls and collectible items will be on sale. On all of the other days the sales room is open for convention attendees only. While attendance may not be affected you may be seeing more pink around the parks than you're used to. I can hardly wait! Two of my favorites together...Barbie and WDW. It just doesn't get much better than that.

Sounds as if there are some fun conventions planned!!! I don't really care about the crowds, just curious to see the groups that will be in the parks/area. Thanks to those that responded.
