Have any "family" members used Dreams Unlimited to book? I was just curious how gay-friendly they were. And if they are, is there a particular agent that you can recommend?

I'm planning a trip for next September and would like to use a better TA than AAA.

I have used them in the past for WDW vacations. Jay has been my TA. I think they are all very gay friendly, most all the agents are either current or past mods on the DIS.

AAA can get you better discounts on packages sometimes. I use a different TA for my DCL cruises and another one for non DCL cruises.

Marc and I used DU for our first DCL cruise (last January) and we're talking about using them again for the family one being planned for January 2009. I was VERY happy with Debi.

The one thing I didn't particularly care for was handling everything via e-mail. I need to talk to someone rather than write back and forth. That being said, the response time to e-mails was phenomenal, which made Marc happy. He'd be happier never to have to pick up a phone again!

Best regards,
Michael

I believe Dreams Unlimited is an offshoot of the DIS boards, and the DIS boards was started and is owned by a gay man. I am sure DU would be very gay friendly.

Thank you all for the responses. I think I'll ask for my quote now. Wish me luck! :thumbsup2

for my 40th birthday cruise--and they were wonderful. Our Agent, Tammy, was really great and very gay friendly! She made me feel like we were her only booking. It was the trip of a lifetime!

I went with AAA this time because of pricing.

Have a great trip!

I haven't used them - I've gotten better deals before I owned DVC. Now I use another TA company that I probably can't name here... I too like to "speak" to my TA.

Yes Dreams is owned by Pete - I'm sure they are very Gay friendly.

I tried to use them. I booked a trip for my best friend and his family becasue it was his fist time and he wanted help. I went to their (DU) site and filled everything in. The email response I got back was "you didnt list yourself" I wrote back and explained no i did not because I wasnt going. My friend is not computer friendly and would rather avoid them and basically wanted someone else to handle everything. (I told my friend I would do it becasue i enjoy it). Well..... I never heard back from them. I booked everything myself and ended up getting them 7 days 6 nights with 4 roundtrip air, tickets and meal plan for around $2000. I dint think I did to bad.
