Hello, I will be going to WDW in June, and was wondering...since the refurbishment if there were any differences in IASW?

Thanks! :wave2:

Yes, they changed the song!!!!
No, I'm just kidding!!! :rotfl:

We were there last week, and I can't pinpoint the exact changes, well, the entrance is white now, but other than that, it just has a fresher feel. I can't say exactly why, I imagine they changed some other stuff too. The last time we were on that ride was 3 years ago. But, at first glance, it seemed pretty similar.

The one thing I noticed when we were there last week was that the "SA WAHT DEE KRAHP"(sp?) good-bye sign disappeared. It was there on Monday, but gone when we went back later in the week. Anyone know what the story is behind its disappearance?

The changes are subtle but noticeable to those who have ridden it several times. We noticed:

The queue area is now a white and gold clock theme similar to the one at Disneyland, except it is indoors. There is also a "cuckoo clock" type animation at each 1/2 (1/4?) hour. The previous background was a painted village.

The stroller parking is no longer in front of the attraction and is now at the old SkyWay ride entrance.

In the jungle scene the vine made up of hidden mickeys is gone.

The frowning clown with the Help! sign is gone.

The entire attraction is much brighter and has obviously had everything repainted. Some of the animatronics that were previously broken now were working.

The volcanos still exist but they no longer have the simulated "fire" coming out of the top.

If you haven't been on the ride for awhile, you may not notice the changes. However, compared to the way it looked when we last saw it, it is obviously much brighter and vibrant.

One change I noticed from 2003 to March 2005 is that when we went in '03 the song was all in English the whole ride, now it is being sung in some of the languages of the other countries. Also, a CM told us that all of the little outfits on the dolls are new but made by the same woman who made the originals, she's 92 now. Wow!

When did Small World re-open? I guess I thought it would not be until May, and haven't been paying attention.

Maddle

Did they fix the ceiling? In 2003 my then 6 year old son kept pointing out water stains and hanging wires to nothing that were on the ceiling.....

I thought there was a new scene added.....the one where there is "waterfalls" or maybe its supposed to be rain.......
