Any non-Disney owned hotels within walking distance to Boardwalk? (other than S/D)

Currently my reservations are ot CBR for our anniversary trip ......but it looks like many of the things we want to do are in the Boardwalk/Epcot area. Well, over $200 a night for one of the Boardwalk/Epcot hotels is not in the cards for us right now .......are there any hotels within walking distance of the Epcot/MGM/Boardwalk action that are not Disney owned -with a smaller pricetag

I'll probably sit tight with my CBR ressie - but it never hurts to shop around!

The only non-Disney owned hotels close to the Boardwalk are the Swan and Dolphin. The only other non-Disney owned hotels on property are the ones at DTD and that's a pretty good hike. I have been noticing that the Swan and Dolphin have been advertising some pretty good rates so you might want to check with them. I am pretty sure that you receive all the same perks as a Disney owned hotel. I know they use the transportation system because we stay at the BWV and sometimes our bus stops at the Swan and Dolphin.

Another option: Depending upon your time frime and how many people you'll have you could look into renting DVC points from a DVC member on the DVC rent boards and staying at the Boardwalk Villas or the Beach Club villas. The normal rental is $9-$10 a point.

One other option--The CSR used to run a bus in the evening from the BW to the CSR, not sure if they still do, but if so you could stay at the CSR for the same price as CBR and easily get back and forth.

According to Chip 'n Dale Express, a disney bus driver, the CSR-BW bus route was discontinued more than a year ago. It's no longer an option.
