Any news on the Simpsons Ride Opening?

We'll be going in early April and hoping that it will be open.

Also, is the general consensus that it's going to be Back to the Future but only a Simpson's Movie? That would be disappointing as I have always gotten motion sickness on that ride and am a huge Simpson's fan.

We don't know the opening date yet, but yes, it will be a simulator.

I believe Universal is shooting for the construction to be done at the end this month with the opening around March 15th (this was said by Bill Davis during the Disaster! press conference).

I'm hoping it's correct because we're going the end of March and I'd like to try it .

And yes, it will be a simulator like BTTF, but hopefully the mechanics are updated and it won't be so jerky .

I'm looking forward to riding it this July and regret that I didn't get a chance to do it when it was BTTF. Lets all hope that Universal spent enough money in the right places and improved all the things guests didn't like about it's predecessor.

Thank goodness its not a roller coaster or I would have to look up at it from afar. Keep me posted if anyone goes, it costs alot in cab fare to get to Universal if your staying at one of the Disney hotels. We haven't gone in years because of that....
