Any NEWS on the opening of Luigi's?

I tried to see if it was open from the map on Disney's website.......
But nothing comes up.

For those spending time in the parks, what can you report?

I thought I saw somewhere it was to open on Jan 19th.

I haven't seen news but I have seen the rumor on MiceAge that the ride may open within a few weeks.

spoke to a CM at Mater's last week about Luigi's and told him I was hoping for a soft/AP opening for SW weekend and he said the tentative date of Jan 19th for it to open has been pushed back and opening will be in early 2016

it was due to the rainfall they had a couple of weeks ago:
~it brought up issues with the ride that they weren't aware would happen (the ride does not function in the rain)
~since it was raining, the CM who were to operate the ride were unable to be trained so even if the ride was ready for Jan 19th it would have been moved to accommodate training

so he wasn't indicating that this ride would open soon, seems like it could be another month or so!

The owner of Passporter was there yesterday morning (and I was there later) and it was NOT open.

The 19th was up on the disney blog for less than half a day before it was taken down. That same blog had a bizarre typo on it too. It was obviously never meant to be published IMO.

Miceage's latest update had a very small bit in it about Luigi's indicating that they expect it to up open "within the next few weeks" (about half way down, just below the photo of the construction wall).

It sounded like they were testing at least once when we walked by last weekend. Hopefully that means sooner rather than later.

We were there the 29th and it was still boarded up and quiet.

I heard it could open in February. I'm hoping it's done by the end of the month.
