Any news on soft opening for Stitche's Escape?

We leave in 7 days for WDW. Has anyone heard if they are almost done with the Stitch ride? I was hoping for a soft opening when we were there. We got to do MS at Epcot last year at the same time for a soft opening. We really like Stitch and was really hoping!!!!

I will be there in mid-September and I am also hoping Stitch is open.

A soft opening is when a ride opens random days for testing and some people in the park get to try this ride before it is officially open. Last Aug. we were at Epcot and got a fastpass for TT and at the bottom it printed out a pass to try MS. It didn't open until I think Sept or Oct. My DH and DS rode it. We also were at MGM the year that RNR coaster was getting ready to open in a few months and the tip board said it was open for the day and we got to ride it too. Your kind of like their guenny pigs but it is fun.

Stitches Great Escape is suppose to open in the fall. I was just at DW and it was nowhere near done! hope this helps!

Agree with above poster. Unless they have made vast improvements on the outside within the last week.

I read on another board that the grand opening will be sometime between Oct. 1-3 and that the soft opening will begin sometime in Sept. I just hope it is ready to go by mid-Oct.!

while I have nothing official to add, it has been somewhat standard practice for soft openings to begin in late sept. b/c they want to get the kinks worked out before they host the media and travel agents in oct. (at leas that was the case w. philamagic)

So, I believe that it will be some time. I was able to get a peek from the TTA and it looks like the first room is still being gutted / renovated.
