I am so glad your kitty is home. I don't have to drive by the place anymore and think, "is Chrissy's Kitty still there?"
I would have "slept" on the floor next to my kitty as well.
With any luck, he won't be back there until his stitches get removed on the 7th
I have my fingers crossed on that anyways. That is a wonderful animal hospital though...if your kitty has to be anywhere, that's the place to be.Yep, there was no question that I was going to sleep on the floor next to him. I had to know how he was doing at all times. He kept waking up and looking over at me last night. I think that he was glad that I was right there in case he needed me. How my DH actually managed to get any sleep last night I'll never know...I was a nervous wreck myself!

They are such dear friends and you are a wonderful Mum!
That seemed to agitate him last night, and then he got up for a while (so I got up). I don't want him to be in pain, though, so I'm following the every 8 hours protocol that was on his surgeon's instructions.
I can imagine all the stress you're under and I know what you mean when you say you're always watching over him. It's so awful when pets are ill but I'm sure you'll give him all the care and love he needs to heal and get back on his feet.

)...he came prancing out of the bedroom with his collar off this afternoon
. I said hi to him without even noticing that he was missing something, and then suddenly my DH looked up and noticed that his Elizabethan collar was not on him!!! DH found it under our bed, so as best as we can figure it, he went under the bed and somehow used the sideboard to unsnap his collar. If cats could join Mensa, he'd definitely be a candidate
