I've been very busy lately, and haven't been able to give the boards a lot of attention.

Has any sales info been released for the GCV? When sales start, or how much per point?
How about any other details? Point charts, models, floorplans??

Thanx... :smokin:

Not much new. We just know they will have 50 two bedroom equivalent units. First dibs will be given to those who have already purchased DVC at the California location. Waiting to hear more myself, lol.

We're still waiting for details...I'm beginning to think I'll be old and gray before we hear anything.

I was at DLR last Friday. Models are being switched over to the GCH floorplan right now. No word yet on when they will re-open.

OOOH- that's so exciting! I'm hoping to make a trip down in early March- hopefully they will be open then!

I thought I read that sales will begin in January 2009, but shoot, I just can't remember where I read that.:headache:

Well, I'm planning another trip down there in late April with a DisBoards ladies group from the Disneyland boards. I'll be sure to take more pictures of the construction progress to post here for all of you, and I'll try to get some up to date info at that time.:thumbsup2

In the meantime, I'm painstakingly trying to plan a trip to WDW for late 2008 or early 2009 for my family, along with my MIL and BIL. Oh the horror of it all.....

.....when to go (early December or late January)?

.....when should I try to rent points in order to get the resorts MIL wants? (Of course it's the resort MIL wants, right? ;) )

.....to do the DDP or not to do the DDP?

.....should I NOT buy a Disneyland AP this year if we're going to WDW?

.....maybe we should just bag going to WDW and take MIL and BIL to Disneyland instead? (They've never been to Disneyland or WDW.)

.....and the list goes on and on. You all know how it is trying to plan these things. It's hard enough when it's just for your family, but when extended family is included, and you have to take their needs into consideration, it makes it a bit more difficult. (Okay, but it's still fun to plan, I admit.:goodvibes )

I spoke to one of the sales managers a week ago and was told the model would be out of service for two months. When its complete is will be the Grand Calif Villas. Cant wait to add on.

I asked two different CM's 2 weeks ago about that. Both said the models will be AKV, not GC, because they will have one of the actual units to show when they start sales in 2009. But I believe you, as I know plans can change all the time.

Wouldn't it be great if you could buy one annual pass that was good at WDW and DLR. It would be nice to know that AP's that were bought at WDW could be used at DLR. I've heard that you can use unused days from WDW ticket media at DLR. Why not have the same set up for AP's. I'd be willing to fork over a few extra dollars for a WDW/DLR AP because I know I'd get enough use from it. Wouldn't something like this be cool, or is this just a lame idea?

I'll be there in May. I hope I can get away from my kids and grandkids for a bit to take a look...
