For our annual vacation in May 07, we're again staying at a vacation home. The last 3 visits we have stayed at Indian Creek, Emerald Island , and Solana Resort.

I was wanting to know if there is any new developments near Emerald Island, or just as close to WDW?

We stayed at the new Solana resort last year, and while it was nice, it was tooooo far away.. phtt..'minutes from WDW" , Yeah , well technically I'M minutes from Disney too!!!

I think Terre Verde sounds great.
I nearly baught there, but the home owners fees were high!
Some lovely amenities there.
Enjoy wherever you stay,
Lynn

Others in the same area as Emerald include Lindfields, Sunset Lakes, Oak Island and Formosa

We stayed in Windsor Hills in July and it's a little closer than Emerald Island and very new. The houses further back in the development are still being built.

Weill be staying here in October the pool looks awesome and my kids are excited to play the giant chess.

Just got back from Windsor Hills this week. They have 2 or 3 bedroom condos, 3 bedroom townhouses each with their own splash pool and 4 - 6 bedroom pool homes. Everything is 1 - 2 years old and homes are still being built. The pool area is large and very nice. It has a zero entry area and large waterslide. There's a nice playground, clubhouse with game room: pool tables, arcades, ping pong etc. there's a store and a movie theatre. Everything is well looked after and clean. You're only about 2 miles from Disney Animal Kingdom using Sherberth Rd. It's actually closer than Emerald Island. Renters use windorshillsrent.com to advertize their homes and also VRBO.com. Good luck!

"someone once found a site where you could rent homes in the Celebration town. that is probably the newest."

Celebration has no short term rentals (or there is not supposed to be ) only 1 year or longer leases.
