Tigger was choked by the kid pulling his costume at the neck. Disney suspended the character with pay and since has returned to work. Disney will not pay the family anything and admits no wrong doing. They refuse to apologize since they believe they have nothing to apologize for. Someone ought to chock that kid and see how he might react.

The CM is the nicest person you could know. He is the guy who helps the lady(she has arthritis) with the disabled child. If he sees her in the store he will a 1/2 hour if necessary to help put the child in the car, unload and load the groceries then help load the wheel chair.

If this goes to court this family will testify, do you think a court will side with the out for money family?

All I have to say is What a Shame. These characters must be very special human beings to have sooo much patience. They deal with small kids, rude adults, wild teenagers and regular folk every day. I have never encountered even the slightest hint of nastiness. I knew that boy was doing something awful behind Tigger's back that wasn't visible. Sounds like a setup to me. People just want to be greedy and will do anything for money. I for 1 feel very bad for these characters and I am very glad Disney is not going to fold to their obvious attemp to made some cash.

Poor, poor Tigger. I am sending love and support your way!!!!

One thing I never noticed before is that the moron kid is wearing black gloves - why would he be wearing gloves on such a warm day? And at Disney? Just a dork fashion statement?

I'm not sure went the incident took place but I wore gloves at Disney a couple of days last week; it was a bit chilly. A lot of the shops had gloves and hats for sale last week

It must have been warm, because he's wearing a sleeveless shirt, and the other kids have on shorts - I think these gloves must have been his "fashion statement" (along with the white belt(?) hanging off him), I just never noticed the gloves when watching before

I like how WFTV shows that frame by frame so you can see the details - looks like whatever happens, starts to happen around #5 as it looks like Tigger draws his arm back against his body....

I never noticed the gloves either but watched the slide show and I must say the whole thing just pisses me off. That kid is so very clearly doing something rotten and that his family would support it makes me sick.
I for one support the CM and am glad he is back at work, making good people happy ever day! God Bless him!

The unfortunate part of this whole situation is that Disney will not want to go to court. The negative publicity is something they do not want. So they will probably give this low-life family some money just to go away. In the end we, as the consumer, will have to pay for this.

MY DH wears weightlifting gloves as they are great for stopping blisters forming on his hands when controling his chair. So I don't think the gloves are the issue.

To me it really feels like this was planned. I mean how convenient that the dad was filming right at this moment ? AS IF a character would dare punching a kid while he's been filmed. I wouldn't be suprised if the whole thing was a setup. Did you hear the dad on the video asking his son how hard he was hit? Sounded rehearsed.

Look at the boys right hand in picture 15 and then 16. I would like to see what a picture 17 would have shown. Looks like the boy is bringing his arm back to take a swing at Tigger!

I too hope that Disney doesn't give the family anything. I support Tigger!!!

Disney needs to make an example of some of the miscreants who come into the parks. High profile may be something that is needed. This is an on-principle is probably worth paying lawyers (or using their own fixed salaried lawyers for) for at least once in a blue moon. While there does not seem to be much in this particular case that Disney could countersue on, just fighting a case may be enough to get the miscreants and their hired Florida attorney's Dumbo ears pinned back and let the miscreants wallow in their legal fees.

The court of public opinion (all of us here on wdwinfo.com ) has spoken. Hopefully Disney has CM's who read these posts and pass the word and pictures and Youtube videos on to management.

the dad who let the older kid wear those gloves (fingerless type gloves) for a kid thats what 12-14 years old. if i saw a kid wearing that a t a mall i would keep my kids close (yes i was a kid once too) but if i see a kid a WDW with leather gloves on without fingers i would wonder why his parents would let him do that.

i'm glad Tigger is ok and working again. from what i'm hearing on the radio(XM that is) the family is going to try to sue in civil court(you know to get money fast) only time will tell. CNN said they had a lawyer........Hmmmmmmm

I wish there was a way we could all let this Tigger know that all of these people are behind him. Like a petition or something, so he could see all the support he has.

Someone could start one. Just have each signer put his username and "supports Tigger" and if someone knows Tigger, they could send it to him.

Tigger was provoked and attacked a kid , not a child.

This kid was a punk who stuck his hand in the tigger costume and deserved what he got, whacked by a provoked Tigger.

Let's keep this thread going to show our support for the CM that was in the Tigger costume that day, and tell the father what a schmuck he is trying to suck money for something his kid is responsilbe for, and did do.

I was hoping to see an "update" as all the other threads are quite long now and I was very curious if there was any new news.

I'm SO glad to hear he is back at work and hope that its in fact true.

I hope Disney fights this family to the bitter end.
