Any new Tracfone codes?

DS's airtime is due to expire on July 9th....any good deals out there right now for minutes or service??

The only code I've seen that is valid now is the 200 bonus minutes when you add a year card (code 50809 - exp 07/27/06).

I don't know what phone your DS has now, but I've also noticed on the tracfone website that they are offering the reconditioned Motorola V170 free with the purchase of a year card for $99.99 again. It is a single rate flip phone with a color screen, probably one of the "cooler" tracfones.

So if you purchased the V170 and 1 year card offer, you could refer yourself and get those 120 minutes + 60 days service, the 20 minutes and 60 days for activating online, and 450 minutes (250 card + 200 with code) and 1 year service. So basically 16 months of service and 590 minutes for the $99.99 (plus $5 shipping and tax).

Additionally, you can add the referral minutes from this phone to your existing phone and then transfer any unused minutes from that phone to the new one.

I just bought minutes on-line about two weeks ago. I was able to buy my minutes that I needed (40-60 I think) as well as buy more days of service. Not sure if this is normal or a special but I remember there were a couple of choices. Might have been 30 days for $5 and 60 for $10 or something like that when you purchased the minutes. Worked out great for me since I have a bunch on minutes (from referrals) but tend to run short on the available days.

Buy a new Tracfone!! ~ it's cheaper than buying a time card. Then transfer your phone number over. You'll really end up with more minutes that way.

Look how it compares:
60 Min Card:
It costs $19.99 for 60 minutes. And all you get is 60 min.

New Phone:
But if you buy a $19.99 reconditioned Nokia 1100 from the Tracfone website you get the same 60 min. card PLUS, if you REFER YOURSELF you'll also end up with 240 FREE minutes!

20 min = for activating online

You can only transfer phone number if the new phone is on the same NETWORK. Like you may not be able to switch your current Nokia Tracfone to a ne MOTOROLA phone. And definitely, you cannot transfer a CDMA network number to a GSM (single rate plan) phone.

Also, it may take a couple of days to get the number transferred over. And sometimes, for technical reasons they simply lose the old number & can't get it back. (They don't know this ahead of time.) Not good if you gave out the old number and really wanted to keep it.

Call Customer Service first to see if the new phone is compatible to your old phone.
