What are you looking for? Non-character? Im personally in love with kona cafe. They're inexpensive and the menu has a nice variety. I love the tonga toast and the pressed coffee pot, as well as the lilikoi juice (passionfruit, guava and orange juice mix).
For character meals i love cape may and crystal palace.
Thanks for your reply. We went to Kona years ago but were jammed in a half booth literally touching another family even though the place was almost empty. Might try it again though. Don't want characters. We were the first to arrive for Boma breakfast (ADR's). We were a party of 2 and always order pressed pot. There wasn't a crowd but they seated us directly behind a post at a very tiny table with no room for our plates much less the pot of coffee!! Food wasn't as good as the year before either.
Tusker House breakfast is one of our 3 must-do restaurants each trip. The buffet area is huge and the options are great and varied. We also eat a very late breakfast so we are still there when they put out lunch.
The characters are great too, but they are not the reason why we dine at Tusker House.
The Wave! Buffet or order off the menu, fresh, organic, and very laid back! It's a must do for our family, and even the kids really look forward to it.

I like the Captain's Grille at YC. One nice thing is that diners can get either the buffet or order off the menu. Within the dining party, diners can still do different things-for example, I had the buffet, but Mom ordered off the menu.
Breakfast is always the hardest for me. When I have traveled with family we all want to go to the parks at the same time but getting up and going can take forever. The last time I went, I discovered room service is the best option. If you don't mind eating in your room then just find a meal you like in your hotel and order it. This worked great for us as I could eat while others were either still waking up or getting ready. Had we waited for everyone to be ready to go out and eat, we would have lost about 45 minutes of park time.
