Any New News on the AP Rates?

Just checking in. I thought I'd find a post or two about someone somewhere calling CRO and getting AP rates this morning.

Has anyone called to see what the latest is? I have to go out soon (yard sale time for ebay=my Disney fund). Good luck to all that are going to try for the rates whenever they do arrive!

Mousesavers changed their site from "this weekend" for AP rates to "in the next week or so".

I thought the wait was over. I hadn't had time to check yet this weekend but I've been excited while I've cleaned the house, mowed the lawn, etc etc.

AP rates for what dates? I'm interested in going back in Feb.(just my 11 yr old & me!) and I'm curious about when they will begin offering deals........anyone have any idea when??? Thanks

I also called today. Spoke with Andrew who was very nice. He said nothing today, but he was guessing it would be Wednesday. I'll keep calling daily just to be safe.

The rumor is that the next ones released will be for 8/24 to 10/1.

Of course it's going to be Wednesday. After all, I will be out of town and away from my computer for 2 days! I guess I will be calling myself (thank goodness for long distance calling plans on cell phones!).

Mousesavers changed their site from "this weekend" for AP rates to "in the next week or so".

As of yesterday, that sentence has been deleted. So I e-mailed Mary from mousesavers.com and asked why. Here's the response I received:

Last week there were some AP rates pending in the Disney reservations
system, according to some agents I talked with. Then the "available to
book" date on them changed to August 3. Then they disappeared. None of
this is particularly unusual.

I think there probably will be some AP rates eventually, but Disney's
marketing dept may be waiting for things to settle down from the current
round of postcard and e-mail rates that just went out.

From what I gather from this e-mail, don't count on AP discounts coming out Aug. 3rd.

Hope it is okay if I gripe. Here we go again with AP holders being passed by and waiting until last for offers. Two friends of mine both received postcards - they have both visited Disney once - One 4 years ago and the other almost 6 years ago. Neither has any desire to go again anytime in the near future. And here are loyal Disney customers with AP who go for a long trip during a year or more than once a year and there are no discounted rates for us. It seems like Disney treats us as though we should get what's left over after they offer all sorts of deals for people who do not spend hard earned dollars year after year at Disney. I know it does not say that AP holders are 'guaranteed' anything but when you see them offering others good rates, you would think that they would give AP holders some consideration. I was hoping to add an additional 2 nights to our trip at the end of Nov with AP rates for AKL or CS. Hope all of you waiting for AP rates for Sept hear soon.

Unfortunately the fact that AP holders normally make more frequent trips to WDW is why Disney does not have to focus on us in marketting strategy. Your friends have not been back so Disney is trying to tempt them, you have been back on regular basis so they don't have to offer too much to you to come again. Doesn't make me happy but it does make sense in overall marketting. If all AP holders would not renew next year a lot of attention would come our way!

THEY are OUT!!! I just called and booked WL at $109 a night standard!!! 8.29 and 8.30. It was $188.60 AAA rate. This savings pays for our parasailing

Ugh! I just called(10:55 am EST) and she said they weren't out yet.
