I have had a disney visa in the past and then got rid of it since I have another card that has better points. I pay it off each month in full. I am considering a disney cruise for 2012 though and they are offering onboard credit for using disney visa... just wondered if there are any offers out there right now? I once got $50 GC just for signing up for one.... tks

I just got a $200 GC for opening one but it was sent directly to me, and it was for new card holders only.

We don't hold alot of credit cards because we don't want to get into alot of debt. So I've avoided getting the Disney Visa in the past. We are planning a budget trip to Disneyland this summer and if we could get a $200 GC, that would just be awesome!! :goodvibes

Do you know how you might have gotten it sent to you? I know, a shot in the dark question. But we have gone to WDW several times in recent yrs and I frequent our local Disneystore etc...They should have my name somewhere!!:rolleyes1

I wonder if I applied for one as a new cardholder, which I would be, if the 200.00 GC would apply? I don't even know where to apply!!:confused3

They started sending me these offers over 2 years ago when I got my first AP, so that may have had something to do with it. I don't think applying for the card without the mailing would work because I had to put in the offer code. After I make my first purchase they credit me 200 Dream Dollars.

I hope you get an offer soon!

No, you can only get the offer if you get the mailing with the offer.

I do know how I got ours... (Just received a $150 offer a few weeks ago). It came addressed to the "Smith" Family (my maiden name). I had booked two reservations at CBR in October, one for us and one for my parents (the "Smiths"). So that must be where they got the "Smith" name and my address combination. Unfortunately, they would not let my DH or I use the offer because our last name isn't Smith.

I was just on the website and they are offering $25 for applying. I may call the toll free number and ask a "live" person what they are offering since sometimes the response is different when you go that route. I may mention our love of Disney and see how much they want our business...:rolleyes1

Is it a good idea for my DH and I to apply seperately to receive GCs or is that a bad idea?

I applied during the $200 GC promo and use it only for disney purchases so I can get the 6 months no interest. The rewards are not that great (1%), but the benefits are pretty good if you visit the parks and all often.

I believe it is offered similar to PIN codes (which I get a lot of). Be sure to frequently update your account info on the Disney parks website and "save" a deal every once in a while. it may trigger it. Other than that I think it's just luck of the draw

I heard about the GC offers some were getting on this post, so I signed into the Chase website (we have a different card with them already) and sent a msg to customer service saying we were interested in the disney card with a gift card offer. Got a pretty generic response, so was bummed. Then got a $150 GC offer within the week :goodvibes Worth a try if u have a chase account!

I got a credit card offer yesterday for a disney visa that will give me a 200 gift card after my 1st purchase. No problem lol (making a "purchase"). SO I can use this $200 gift card towards my park hoppers for my trip in July? Really? too good to be true???
thanks Jill

Just got on in the mail yesterday for $300, that is $150 after first use, $150 for balance transfers..

we also got this $150 offer after a purchase. don't forget they allow each individual to have 3 disney visa cards. I had one i got last year with a 100 statement credit after the first purchase. When the invite came last week it was so "the st*** family" so both me and my wife applied and got approved (her first, my 2nd card). $300 in GCs will be sweet for our Sept trip.

I have rec'd 3 in the last 2 weeks!! All addressed to the Ackert Family so probably generated from Disney. Crazy thing is 1 1/2 years ago when we were going to wdw I signed me and the hubby up for the cards with the $200 GC deals. Well...last week I got the $200 offer and the $300 which is not r4eally great because it is $150 after you 1st purchase and $150 after a balance transfer! So I decided to send it in online for my daughter who is in college and my hubby-since it said family. Both apps went thru. daughter was declined because she didn't have enough credit built up yet-she is only 19. Hubby got his 3rd card and we will do what we did before--buy $5 in gas and then get the $200 GC and put the card in the draw!

Quick question..... you used the same invite for "your family " and each applied w/ that code ? I have been trying to figure out if we could do that. We got the offer for $ 200 and I just applied for my DH (since I already had one) ....but I think I'll try and apply w/ the code for me.

So you did get the the Disney Dollars applied to each of your cards after your first purchase ?? :confused3

Will you both really get the $150? DH & I have a Disney card but it is considered the same account. We only got 1 reward offer with our opening the account. How do you apply with the same PIN # and get 2 rewards? Please let me know if this actually works because DH & I will apply for new accounts and get rewards/bonus' to use on our trip this November. :woohoo:

We have one card as my DH as the main person with me having a card with that account as an authorized user. Got it months ago with the 200 gc offer.....just cashed out with 219 dream dollars only so I knew we would hav ethe card in time for our trip.

AND i got one addressed to me last week, so I applied under my name and my DH as an authorized card user and got another 200 gc. Which we will close one of the cards when we return.

We are also on the 3x bonus period right now with the first card and just booked our trip along with some other big items so we will get the 3x rewards for that.

By the time we go to Disneyland in May we will have almost if not just over $450 in dream dollars :goodvibes

I have no idea how they choose who they invite with "offers". Funny, but true, story. DH and I are planning our Disney trip. I have played around on the disney website and saved offers, ordered the planning CD, booked ADRs, ordered custom maps........and guess who got the $200 GC offer? My MOTHER  She doesn't have the same last name, doesn't have the same address, isn't ANYWHERE to be seen on my trip planning. Go figure.

So....how does this work? It said she could get a second card for someone else. She is planning to sign up and we will "make a purchase" and I'll pay for it and she will give us the GC (is this a true GC or is it a credit to the CC?) Also, we talked about putting me on as a 2nd cardholder IF (and only if) it would be beneficial for us in the parks (as in VISA perks like pictures, character things, etc..) If not then I may hold out for my own offer before getting a card. :rolleyes1
