Any more word on Bouncebacks?

Does anyone think the lack of fourth quarter discounts next year could have anything to do with WDW's 40th anniversary October 1st? Maybe they think that will be enough to attract people, or maybe they have something up their sleeves tied specifically to that event that they aren't going to release yet.

A person can hope . . . .

Without a good discount of some sort, I'll be reduced to day trips. :sad1:

I doubt they would completely abandon discounts during the 40th ... if there isn't anything special that they are offering (other than that glorified castle slide-show) I don't think just the "idea" of it being the anniversary would fill the parks/resorts. I'm hoping for the "have something up their sleeves" scenario ... but not something too fantastic. I wouldn't want the usually calm fall season overrun/jammed with people celebrating the 40th!

I don't think you have anything to worry about. My aunt works for Disney and I asked her if they were doing anything special for the 40th anniversary and she said no. The only thing they are doing is the whole share the memories thing or whatever it is called. I don't think we will see another big celebration until the 50th anniversary. Also don't expect to see the castle done up as a birthday cake again. Disney learned their lesson with that. It took forever to get that stuff off the castle that is why they decided to live it up for a few years rather than just the have it up for 1996.:)

Doh! Last December we had a BB offer in our room for this year and we booked on the spot. I was hoping to do the same again this year during our upcoming trip. The whole free Dining thing isn't nearly as valuable to us as the 40 percent packages for the CR. I wonder if its time to become an annual pass holder for the room only discounts they can get?
