Any Medium fans?

I'm going to miss this show so much. :sad1:

I am a fan of the show and, while I will miss it, I think it has run its course.

Also, ever since I saw the real Allison Dubois on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, it has been difficult to watch. The real Allison Dubois seems to be a little mean and self centered (at least, that is how she was on the show). It doesn't reconcile with the Allison Dubois that Patricia Arquette plays.

I will miss it too.

Thought it ended weird though. I don't mean seeing the actors leave the set I mean the whole last of the series thing. And why did they not age Bridgette only Marie. :confused3

I think the last scene should have the two of them in bed since that is where most of the series was shot.

The show end weird. It seems like the writing was rush to finish the series and give it a ending. Now the ending did not make sense at all. They did not solve the case.

I love Medium. That is the second show this season they have took something like probably put in reality show or comedy. The second show was Undercovers on NBC.

Now only down crime shows to watch. If NBC take off Law Order than done NBC completely. Don't get start on ABC I can't stand none of the shows on ABC.

Ha, true! I told DH that I'll miss the intros where Allison always wakes up with a gasp for breath and Joe makes some kind of funny/ironic/etc. comment.

I, too, think the show has run it's course. The last few seasons pale in comparison to the early shows. Medium was one of the few shows that could still shock and/or surprise me. I guess I always had hope that it would get better again.

Joe and Allison were so... real. They dealt with getting the kids to school, paying the bills. Normal, everyday stuff. I loved them as a couple. They were average-looking people in an average house living average lives.

Oh, wait... there was that whole "talking to dead people thing." :lmao:

Omg, I thought the same thing. AD on RH was AWFUL. She was mean and rude. :headache: I could not believe she was the lady that PA was portraying on 'Medium' and quite frankly I have not seen the show since seeing what an idiot AD was on RH. :headache:

I am feeling so relieved that I didn't see the real AD. I have a feeling she would have ruined the whole series for me. And, I really enjoyed it.:)

Oh good, I wasn't the only one!

The only thing that really bugged me about the show was the continual doubt and resistance she got whenever she brought up one of her dreams.

Allison: "I had a dream and it was...(insert description of dream here)"

Joe (Devalos or Scanlon): "That's crazy, there is no way that can happen"

Allison: "No really it will really happen"

Joe (Devalos or Scanlon): Whatever...

Okay-how many times has Allison been right? Just believe her already!!!
:rotfl:

But, I did like the normality of their lives...and I really enjoyed Patricia Arquette in the role.

:thumbsup2 These. Very nasty woman.

I DVRd the show tonight and had zero idea the show was ending. Now I'm glad I didn't watch it in a rush but I'm bummed I'll probably be disappointed. I really hated that they did the same thing with "Saving Grace"' what a crummy ending that was.

Thanks for the heads up.

I liked the show, but tonight's episode which should have been the finest, was chaotic at best. I loved how ordinary their family was, with real everyday issues throughout the years. I loved that they had a bizarro cabinet finish in the kitchen, non-matching furniture, and Alison had a real figure in real clothing. The kids and Joe were wonderfully quirky too.

I'll miss it.

I am telling you I was shocked! I love 'Medium' and I love PA so I was really excited to see AD as Camille Grammer said early in the episode that evening (several weeks ago) that her DGF would be coming over for dinner and she is AD, the Psychic who is portrayed on 'Medium'!

But what a nightmare she was on that episode. :headache:

One of the ladies on RH, Lisa, (she is British) kept thinking that Camille was calling AD her "side-kick". Hahaha. But Camille was calling AD, her psychic! Now that was funny! :lmao:

I DVR'd this weeks episode and did not realize that it was to be the last one either. I was so surprised. I kind of liked the ending but also didn't. I will miss this program. I really liked it.

1. Medium is over? And I missed the finale? Oh, man!

2. There is a real Allison Dubois?!

The ending confused me. Sounds like other people were confused too.

The series was pretty good the first few years, then perhaps it was the switch in nights, or time-slot, but it went downhill. I too appreciated their "realness", viewers could relate to their characters and lives...well all but seeing ghosts and such. I wish that they would have made the last episode something memorable, tied up lose ends, or gone out with a bang. Instead it was like a bad dream. Actually the plane crash is my husbands worst nightmare so I'm glad he wasn't home to watch.

So they aged Marie, Brigit was pregnant, and ----- (drawing a blank) wasn't shown as an adult, or did I miss her?

Yep, the series was cancelled. :guilty: and it was based on a real woman. The books they showed in the flash forward at the end were real and written by her.

I believe they showed Ariel pregnant in the future and Bridgit was the one "missing.". That was weird... Why not show her?

For some reason, last night's finale kept running through my mind all night and I didn't sleep well. I hated how it ended. How come there can never be a "happily ever after?".

Oh, and I found out yesterday that I'm traveling more for work. :scared1:

Haven't seen the finale, and so I have tried to avoid reading the messages in the thread, for now. We'll be watching the finale tonight and I'll read back over the whole thread tomorrow, if I have time.

I did inadvertently see one message in the thread, but I don't know the questions in it were answered:

Yes, last night was Medium's series finale.

And yes, there is a real Allison DuBois, psychic medium.

I agree with the others on the real Allison shown on the Real Housewives. It totally ruined the show for me! And if she's such a great psychic, why didn't she tell her good friend Camille that Kelsey was cheating :confused3 !
