Any luck with National ID's and Coupons codes

Ok so I tried the 8572957 for my 15 day rental in CA for August. Amazingly it brought the rate down over $200 from the 8572987 code. Here is where it gets a little strange. I used coupon ND2002FJR from the Entertainment Book as the other coupons all expire in June. It subtracted the $20 BUT then it added $15.28 back in under DISCOUNT COUPON ACCEPTED line item. Anyone ever see this before or can offer an explanation??

I used the Ent coupon, 2 class upgrade, pay for compact, get a full size. Try that.

MORE INFO: I checked my email confirmation and it lists the $15.28 as "Forfeited Value- Coupon." :confused3

Okay I finally finished reserving my Minivan for May 5 to May 15. :goodvibes After joining the Emerald Club and having the 50.00 fee waivered with a coupon from Mousesavers and using the coupon 8572957 which is a Visa Code cpn and NF1986JDD which is a 30.00 off cpn. The total for the 10 day rental period was 263.92. And the best part is that my DH also gets to drive the car without having to pay for an additional driver because of being an Emerald Club member,(one of the benefits for joining the club) so there is another 99.90 saved on this car rental. I am a happy camper. What does everyone think? Did I get a good deal?

Actually, the Visa coupon is 85729*8*7, the code you used is a travel agent code. There is much discussion on if we will be asked for ID if we use this code. I'm keeping my ressie w/ the 57 code, have a backup ressie and am still trying to find a better deal not using a TA code if possible. Also, waiting to see if people have problems with this code when they report back after their trips. We don't go until June. Good luck!! Personally, if your using Emerald Reserve as we are, I don't think there will be a problem. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes :flower3: :goodvibes

Hi Dan!:wave2:
Could you possibly give me the code for the one class upgrade? (I like to use the aisle!) My Entertainment book is in my car which is in the shop. Thanks!!:flower1:

Ent National does not have a one car upgrade, only two. Ent Alamo has a one.

Darn it...I guess I still have my problem..Oh well if you would be so kind as to pass along the code for the two car class upgrade I'll try that...Thanks again Dan!! :thanks:

You can get the same upgrade through entertainment.com if you've already registered your book. If you use the entertainment coupon, they'll most likely ask for it, so make sure you have a book! :)

Well here I go again on this cpn 8572957...I called National and was told that the cpn could be used. So to keep myself somewhat safe I had him (KEN) make the ressie for me over the phone (as his name will be on the ressie) so that if someone says that they can not except it I will be able to say that Ken from National and also (from India) made the ressie and he said that it was a cpn that anyone could use. I will just :worship: to the God of National and hopefully there will be no problems. :scared:

Mine was also done over the phone, with National directly! Course I have a TA card..two of them, so I am covered either way! :thumbsup2

i noticed that with the 857*** codes, the coupons were added back in with some car classes, but not others:confused3
we were thinking about a midsize, but a compact came to $79 total (1 week, may 3-10), & a midsize about $50 more:scared1:
can't beat $79  (it's just DH & self).

OK, so do they email you the quote when you book over the phone, so you have something in hand? That sounds good to me!!:goodvibes :flower3: :goodvibes

Bella, do you mean when you book on the phone? I got an email confirmation right after the girl booked mine on the phone. She even looked up my Emerald Club number to book it under that.

I booked online as well and got a confirmation email with the code and coupon on it... crossing my fingers that it works...

Just finished talking to a national rep. I used contract ID *6* and recieved an incredible rate for a mini van. I specifically asked what this code was and he put me on hold and came back and said it was a complimentary code, I then asked if I would need a TA Id and he said no everything would go smooth with the rental as is. Only Id I would need is my driver license and credit card and reie sheet. Going May 9-26.

Just to clarify, that's for code 8572967, right?
I'd be much more willing to use this one since it is not for a TA. What the heck does "complimentary code" mean anyway??
