Any luck selling disney pins on ebay?

I have about 10-15 pins I got for my boys who turned out to not be interested in pin trading. I looked on ebay but all the pins ending now have no bids on them. I assume selling them in sets would be better but I really don't want to sell them for 99 cents. I am selling things to make $ for our upcoming trip.

Any suggestions? I haven't really sold on ebay so any suggestions are apreciated!

I've sold lots of pins on ebay, with mixed results. I find that selling individual pins doesn't work too well, so I try to make sets -- either by theme, character or subject -- of 7-10 pins. I try to price them for just about $2 a pin (I know, they really have no value) with a buy it now of a little higher if some of the pins are LE or more valuable. Take pictures of the entire group, and since photos are free on ebay now, don't hesitate to show individual pins in pictures! I also always offer a shipping discount if people buy more than one set and I can ship them together.

I put quite a few sets on ebay a couple of weeks ago -- hubby lost his job, so I wanted to make some extra money for Christmas gifts, and I haven't been overly interested in pin trading for a while -- and sold several groups for a total of about $120, but I had several sets that haven't sold. I'll probably relist those again, but I'm still thinking about it. You certainly won't make back the money you spent, but if you're happy getting SOMETHING for them rather than having them just take up space, you can try it. Good luck!

On Ebay sign in then do a search for Disney Pins. On the left there will be a box with more search choses; choose the box for Completed Auctions. Then you'll see how the auctions ended.

As someone who has pin a pin collector 25+ years, and as an ebayer who primarily sells Disney pins (I have 900+ pins listed now), I can say ebay is NOT the place to make money on most common or recent pins. I have found that on average most commons will sell between .99 and $2.25/each when sold in lots. Then you have both the ebay and Paypal fees to consider. I do not recommend selling them in lots. That is what the bargain shoppers are looking for. I would suggest you try Craigslist or even list on one of the Disney Pin collectors sites, where you can list pins individually. If they are common pins, I wouldn't expect to get more then 50% of what you paid, in todays market, that is a high end. The market is flooded and the buyers are just starting to buy again.
