Any luck on waiting list for 2BR

Going on our first visit home!!!!!!!

I just was put on the waiting list for 2BR suite at BWV or BCV. (Home is VWL). Has anyone had any luck with the wait list for 2 BR suite for 7nights??? I will be going first week in December.

Congrats on your first visit. Although the first two weeks in December are low times for WDW in general, they are pretty busy times for DVC. 2brms are hard to come by and most people take them for atleast a weekk. You might want to look into OKW or WLV book them and then cxl and rebook if BWV opens up. You do not want to be shut out. Worst case, you'll bee at WDW maybe just not at BWV.

I would book at the other two just to be safe.

I booked at my home resort at the 11 month window (VWL). So I am definitely going

I just tried to switch to BWV or BCV at the 7 month window, but had to go on the waiting list... (Last time we where at Disney 2000 (our honeymoon) we stayed at BWI and loved every minute of it. We are still kicking ourselves for not becoming a member back then.

DVC resorts have more 2-bedroom than anything - so you may just get it - check with Member services and see if your waiting list is for the entire time or daily. If the entire time - no you probably won't get it because that entire time would have to be free - the daily is just that if any day comes up it goes to you.

I know it's not a 2-bedroom, but I just wanted to encourage you that the waitlist does work! I've recently had a number of days come through for a Preferred Studio at BWV in early December.

Like you, we own at VWL, and I made reservations there at the 11-month window. In early May, when the 7-month window opened up, I started calling MS on a daily basis (thanks to advice from this board). Some days BWV was available, and some days were not. After 11 days of calling every morning, my BWV schedule was a fragmented mess. It looked something like this:

12/1-12/4 - Confirmed
12/5-12/6 - Waitlist
12/7 - Confirmed
12/8-12/11 - Waitlist

Fortunately, I had enough points to keep my reservation at VWL while waiting for BWV to come through.

Within a week, everything but 12/5 came through. Since I did get 10 out of 11, I cancelled the VWL reservation, so that hopefully someone trying to get in there could. I plan on making a cash reservation for 12/5 as a backup, in case the waitlist does not come through.

I agree with "spiceycat"...check with MS and see if your waitlist is for the entire time or daily.
