Any lockers by Kali Rapids?

I'm the type that can't stand to walk around in wet clothes all day. I noticed there are lockers at the front of the park, but are their lockers near Kali River Rapids? If not, can I just hand my bag to a CM by the exit to hold for me? There won't be any valuables in it.

No lockers near Kali.

I have seen folks simply leave their bags near the loading/unloading area on many rides.

Don't leave your bags, the cast memebers wont watch it for you, it's not their job and they won't be held liable.

The rafts are equiped with a comunal cubby in the center with a slash gaurd. if you want to take off your shoes and socks do so after you leave the dock and put them in there. But i would recomend crocs or some form of sandal if you are at animal kingdom and plan to do the kali way.

Yes, there are lockers near Kali. I used one last time I went. They look like a bunch of metal post office boxes when you're entering the que. I had never riden it before and didn't know how wet I'd get so I stuffed my fanny pack into a locker, took the key, and went about my merry way. Boy am I glad I did! I was soaked from head to toe. Of course that was before I knew about the cubby in the middle of the raft. Haven't gotten a chance to try it out so I can't tell you how well it works.

This is new info to me.
I've just done a web search for "Kali River Lockers".
There is no mention of any lockers in or near the queue.
Only the ones at the main entrance to DAK.

When did you visit?
How much did you pay for the locker?
How (or whom) did you pay for the locker?

There ARE lockers at Disneyland's (DCA) Grizzly River Run (similar attraction), but I don't know of any lockers at Kali in DAK.
:)

How big is the communal area in the middle of the raft? Large enough to put a small back pack inside?

Oooh, I think you're right. I was racking my brain trying to straighten it out. We had went to Six Flags St. Louis the month before WDW and it may have been there that had the lockers. Sorry!!! :sad2:

Not really "big".

Not really "dry" either.

(It gets drenched with water enough that its just "somewhat dryer").

Best bet is to bring a "trash bag" with you for this purpose and seal your backpack inside it for the duration of your trip(s) on Kali.

The middle storage area is not that big. If all riders had large items, no way would it all fit inside or stay dry. It's roomy. But not like a trunck of a car. ;) And the cover is a heavy plastic that lifts up and stays down fairly well. But it is not air tight, and does not lock down. It's better than nothing and suits most needs. But if you are concerned about camera equipment, or whatever, take extra precautions or wear a poncho and keep what you can with you and covered well.
Riders can walk away with little wetness. Or they can walk away fully soaked. Luck of the draw.

My family always brings a change of clothes to AK. We store everything in lockers near the front of the park and ride Kali River first (often several times in a row). When we've had enough, we go back to the lockers, change into dry clothes and enjoy the rest of the park. I should also mention that we wear water shoes for the ride, then put tennis shoes on later. Our wet stuff stays in the locker until we are ready to leave the park. A bit more work, but it works for us.
