I think I did understand, but let's try to get clarification: Please provide examples of what you meant when you wrote, "say things in an irresponsible way for money".

My examples have to do with the radio and tv fake news stations that make money off of this kind of sensationalism and vitriol, etc. I cannot give examples bc of the ban on this board. Lets just say it's very similar to the Hitler thing that this thread is about, similar things like that that.

What I've said is that these are fundamentally different, with only the latter being "evil"-like.

I'm sorry that you cannot find a way to provide permitted examples about what you mean about "for money" - that would probably clear things up easily.

These so called news shows and radio shows make money out of the sensationalism and vitriol, that is an example. If they didn't put these type of things on there, I think they wouldn't be as popular, some of it is for political agenda reasons but the main issue comes down to the money. I think that should clear it up better. Sorry but I think the rules on this board make it a little difficult to be as clear as I want to be. I think we agree more on this issue than we disagree.

There are lots of things in the world I disagree with but I don't think everyone out there is an idiot who needs to be saved from themselves. On the contrary, I think a vast majority of people are more than capable of thinking for themselves and the fact that they reach different conclusions than me is more about different experiences than influences, mindlessness and foolishness. It's all about respect and someone doesn't have to agree with me to get it from me.

This is exactly what I was trying to help you with. Let me walk you through this...

1. In your previous post(#64) to me you(Bicker) stated, "I think that almost anyone other than you would have no problem granting that medical experts make better medical decisions than random posters on the Internet, like you. Why you cannot admit that is bewildering..."

2. I responded(post #68) by saying that I "would have no problem admitting that medical experts make better decisions than random posters. I merely said that everyone is entitled to their opinion."

3. Now, here's where it gets bizarre. You(Bicker) decide to respond(post #73) by saying, "I'll make my point very clear, so there is no similar confusion driving you down a similar path: Medical experts make better medical decisions than random posters on the Internet, like you."

I had already agreed with you. It seems you are either not reading the posts, or not comprehending them. If a person agrees with your statement, then there is no reason to post a rebuttal. It seems like you are just responding for no other reason than to bicker. Can you see that now?

I will tell you that I am proud of you for not arguing that same point again in this post- the one that nobody ever disagreed with you about. My hope from this thread is that you can learn that everybody is entitled to their opinion on any subject, not just Bicker approved subjects. You may not agree with the opinions, but we all have that right. You in turn have a right to respond with your opinion, respond with posts that make no sense, not read their posts and respond anyway; etc. Isn't freedom of speech great!

Yup, and I suspect that's what's going to eventually knock nation down from its place of primacy - everyone deciding that their way must be the way, going so far as to place their own perspectives over everyone else's, even when it is a question between one's own personal preference and the medical expertise of a medical professional regarding a medical issue. We see so much of that, in action, already today. Sad, really.

I don't think the philosophies the US was based upon will have anything at all to do with it's undoing. Quite the opposite. I think if the elitists who think the underclasses aren't fit to govern themselves ever get a chance to push the majority out of the way THEN we'll be undone. Our system is designed to have stopgaps to prevent revolution, and it does a spectacular job. Don't you see how polarized people are? What do you think would happen if one side, doesn't matter which side or which issue, were permitted to jam itself down the moderate majority's throats too far without recourse? It's all in the history books and it never ends well.

Either meet in the middle or stay stuck, unable to bend is the only way to go It's what the US was built to do.
