We are doing a very last minute vacation, and are looking for 4-5 night hotel stay. Anyone can tell me what the best deals are right now? I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with last minute planning, so any help is greatly appreciated!
We want to be walking distance or have access to a shuttle, and a good pool. We have a 1 year old and 5 year old.

Thanks!!

I just looked at the Disney World site, and Pop Century (value resort) is available for a stay with check in on Sunday and check out on Friday (5 nights) for $416. That is the current discount rate they have. You could upgrade to a moderate resort -- Caribbean Beach for $613.

You can't walk to a park from these resorts, but they do have buses you ride to the parks.

Park Hopper tickets for 2 adults and the 5-year old would be $869.05. The 1-year old doesn't have to buy a ticket. :)

Hope this helps.

If you look at this link

there are basically 2 types of discounts available to the general public right now.

The first is a Package discount of either buy 5 get 7 (Value resort) or buy 4 get 7 (all other resorts). This has a good explanation:

If you can stay 7 days this is a great deal.
You will have to pay for everything when you book since you are so close to the date.

The other discount is a Room Only Discount and the 1st link I gave has that under "Rooms ... save 29% ...). That will be just like booking a regular hotel -- I think they will just charge you the 1st night (not sure). They have rates on it so you can add up and compare.

Run the numbers and decide which one you want before you call and ask for if they have an availability for the discount you want.

Disney will automatically put non-refundable trip insurance so if you don't want insurance, tell the agent before you hang up.

Definitely go with the room only rate if you only have a few days. If you can swing the full week, then the 4/3 or 5/2 would probably be a better deal!

Congrats on a last minute trip!

You might think about skipping the regular dining plan, just because everyone else has free dining & it might be hard to find someplace to eat sit down. The quick service plan might be good for you guys, and if you wanted to try and get 1 character meal you could try & just pay out of pocket.
