Any "Land" fans going to MouseFest???

Many of us on these boards/threads are DisneyLAND fans, and or DCA fans. Some of us are wdw fans as well. I'm curious to know, if any of you are going to MouseFest this year. For those of you who may not know what mousefest is, this will be an interesting topic for you as well. You might find it alluring enough to want to go in 09'...

Boy, I wish we could. Sounds like the Podcast Team really has a neat, but yet unDISclosed plan for an event.

I used to go to the Disneyana conventions, and miss how much fun they were with all of the special events and lectures and private parties in the parks. Maybe one of these years, when the kids are older, I can talk my husband into it. He's not as big a fan as I am, but I know he would have fun with the tour-style meets and the lectures!

I wasn't planning on it, but I rescheduled our trip (that we should be on right now) to December, so we'll be there at the right time. I don't know if I'll be able to participate in any of the events though... might be too busy doing our own thing!!! But I would love to be able to. So far, the events that I've seen are in parks that we weren't planning on being in on the same day, and we don't arrive until Saturday, but Mousefest starts on Thursday.

To be honest, I am not really sure what Mousefest is all about, does anyone mind elaborating on said topic? is this event at Dl? or only at WDW, like I am figuring?

MouseFest is the ultimate disney geekdom spot. Its held at wdw and it is amazing. Disney fans from around the globe come and meet other disney peeps, they meet podcasters, they visit booths, get free stuff, and mingle with people who feel the love of disney. Its set up like a festival, and there are individual "meets" meaning. Someone will host a gathering in an area of the parks and enjoy a ride, or an attraction, a dinner, lunch, or a dole whip together as a disney group.

Its a gathering of people who also hear from their friends things like, "you're going to disney AGAIN?" Or "Why are you there so much, what's the big deal?" "All you ever talk about is disney."

If a person ever felt like others "just don't get it" for the love of disney. Its a gathering of people who DO "get it".

I will be there those dates with my parents. Probably wont attend anything official though....but i would be open to any DIS sponsored activities. We will be at the Swan.

I'll be going with my hubby. I'm looking forward to seeing scopa, mongelo, and the allaboutthemouse guys, bryan and jonathan.

I listen to them, as well. Maybe in 2010. Our 2009 trip starts on New Year's Day and goes through Marathon Weekend. We had to postpone it, since we originally had it set for October 2008.

Funny thing - I didn't really have Mousefest on my radar the last time we went in December - we were there at the same time! Doh! Never again!

Why doesn't Disneyland in Anaheim, Ca. hold their own Mouse Fest! for I do not know when I might be able to FINALLY visit WDW! (ugh)

I know what that is like, regarding people not understanding one's interest in Disneyland or WDW. Example: last b/f, whenever I would mention my liking to go to DL. his response was, Dl. is for children, (omg) he did not just say that! oh yes he did! (but another bit of writing on the wall of this ain't going to work out) and my response would always be, yes, for children of all ages! he then would be silent, good, what a goof! and not a good goof either.
Then a friend of mine, whenever I would speak of how much I love the POTC and the HM, and.... etc. her reply would always be, oh, I am not really into Dl. and or I am not really interested in DL. (shock! horror! and omg! and sigh) poor misguided creature she is, matter of fact, she might get along very well, with said, former mistake, I mean, b/f. he he! for he is said same misguided person. My reply to her would just simply be, oh I see, or I might grin, so as not to show my shock and disappointment, over her replies. Man, I just do not understand people like that!

What's the scavenger hunt thingie they have at DL? That's what I thought of when you mentioned MouseFest. That sounds so cool!
