Any ladies out there try Bare Essentials?

Another Bare Escentuals fan here! I love the Mineral Veil. I use it everyday along with the liner, and bisque on my eyes and spots.

What I absolutely love is their brushes. They are so soft and hold the product so well before applying. I've bought from QVC, ULTA stores and the boutiques when I am visiting relatives in PA.

The only thing I've not found that I like yet is a blush color. All of them seem to harsh on my skin color as I am very fair.

Yeah, I don't use their blush either for the same reason.

Would someone PM me the link to the Delphi forum?

I'm confused as to why you are referring to the foundations with #'s. Maybe I need to look at the bottom of my jars. I just got the big starter kit listed on their website. They missed some items, but are sending those out. My only complaint about the order is that I ordered a number of brushes and the brushes aren't labeled. I'm still confused as to what brush is what. I know I received a wet/dry shadow brush but I don't know what that one is because it looks like the other eye brush I received. And I'm not sure which is my full coverage brush-I'm confused with that and the brush blush. But...Don't the foundations have names, not numbers? I received Light and Fairly LIght.

I went to the website, and it sounds interesting. I have problems with foundations too. I hate wearing any of them that feel too thick.

I'm always doing something active, so I hate wearing mascara and eye makeup that runs into my eyes.

Does the eye makeup run?:D

Just got my introductory offer this week. I hate wearing make up...just hate it. I always feel as if it will crack when I smile. And unlike most of you, I am in my mid fifties, and going without is unfair to those around me :p

I love this stuff. You do not need to be a pro to apply it. It literally feels like nothing. It stays put until you wash it off. And it washes off easily. I am a huge convert.

I bit the bullet and bought the small khabuki (sp?) brush - I love it, it made a big difference!!

Cant help you on the brushes, but I suggest you PM Christi for the Delphi web addy - those are the ones in the know!! (the link is on my other computer)

Minnie-I use their liner/shadow on a wet brush and it stays put all day. I have sensitive eyes and can't wear any mascara so I haven't tried the BE mascara but the liner doesn't run.

I bought the sample deal thing from QVC a year or so ago and I ended up not caring for it, it dried my skin out terribly, even when I used a moisturizer underneath. I just didn't like the way it made my skin feel.

Now I just use a bronzing powder from Clinique during the summer, and Clinique's soft finish foundation in 01 Soft Bisque which is an exact match to my skin tone, during the winter.

Another BE fan here! I bought the $25 starter kit on QVC quite a while ago--large foundation, small Warmth, small Mineral Veil, and a brush--and I love them all. On a follow-up show, I bought the lips trio in nude--lipstick, liner, and gloss. I'm wearing the lipstick right now--very, very soft and smooth and best of all NO TASTE!

Like Faith, I HATED wearing foundation, it made my face feel heavy and made me feel like I was constantly sweating. I never wore foundation regularly until I tried BE. I've heard rumors that they carry it in Sephora now, although I've never seen it there (although it has been at least 6 months since I've been to one).

I cant afford to spend so much on myself at this time (I have priorities... lol that sounded dumb knowing I'm going to disney!!) Anyway, I get coupons at Ulta, I try out colors there, and I dont pay for shipping...

Thanks for the heads up about a location in Schaumburg, I'm wondering if that is Woodfield Mall - I went there after watching the first infomercial knowing they'd have a store there - I got confused going into the Origin store!

The new store will be in Woodfield Mall, but it won't be open until later this year. You can keep checking the www.bareescentuals.com website for updates on their Boutique Listing page.

Does your Ulta let you use them on Bare Escentuals makeup? Most of them won't since it's a prestige line. If yours does, don't clue them in! ;) Dermstore and Face, Etc. have discount codes, and I know that the shipping is pretty reasonable, especially with the discount. It's just so much better than buying singles from QVC.

How about Hint, Sorbet or even Glee? I'm pretty fair, and those are some of my favorite blushes.

If you look at the bottom of the jars, they will say Fairly Light, but it will also say 1.2. When BE first came out, all the foundations were by numbers and not names, so the names are fairly new.

I agree with you about the brushes not being labled. After awhile you learn which is which. If you go to http://www.beaddicts.com/be_color_comparisons_copy.html, you will see a picture of most of the brushes near the bottom. Click on the thumbnail for the bigger picture. Hopefully that will help you. You could get a label maker and label them, too.

The mascara is not waterproof, but I've never had a problem with it running. Then again, I hate to sweat! ;) The shadows, foundation and blushes definitely do not run when you sweat, though.

Love, love, LOVE kabuki brushes for applying the foundation. They make it so easy.

Yes, Sephora stores and their website are now carrying BE, but not all the stores have it.
