On Thursday, we check into the Dolphin/then BCV for 9 days.
We are usually May travelers.
Just wondering if we should even bother packing a long-sleeved tee or sweatshirt? I know we won't bother packing any pants.

How is it touring MK during those late evening hours? Thanks!

Well we leave for Disney on Thursday from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and we are driving. This is our 1st trip to WDW and I am packing 1 pant and 1 sweater for each of my kids as who knows how the weather is as I know here we have been having a heatwave as hot or hotter at times then FL but I rather be safe then sorry as IF NOT LoL I might end up having to buy them there and rather save money for other fun things. We are staying off site at a house we rented and yeah for my kids I am packing those things for me I will probably take 1 sweater (or a light jacket)

We will be there from July 28th til Aug 3rd maybe we might bump into each other (thats if your wearing lime green) I will be watching our for fellow Disers

We will be there until Aug. 3 as well!!
My family will be in matching WDW t-shirts everyday.
I'll be on the lookout for you.

We are driving as well & I hate to pack that stuff (our Denali will be packed tight) for cool weather if we absolutely won't need them.

Any other DISers???

I had bought here in Canada's Disney Store Tiki Outfits for everyone which I plan on having everyone wear our 1st day in the park we are heading to Magic Kingdom July 29th as we have lunch res at The Round Table (cannot wait)

My kids dont even know we are going so when they go to camp on Monday I have to start to sneek some of thier clothing and put them aside to pack (luckly they are 4, 5 and 8yrs old) so I can do it with not too much problem LoL yeah they know we might be going to the US to see inlaws but they wont even know that til Thursday after camp when we are ready to go in the car.

Any other DISers going this week also??

we live in south florida and I will say to leave the sweaters at home!! Pack a very light, thin cotton jacket(DD brings her short sleeve terry zip front hoodie)for air conditioning or shops at night.
for our July 4th Disney trip- we wear shorts & tee's during the day, especially those that are quick-dry. My 12 yr.old wears her board shorts(great for ride that get you wet) Buy cheap ponchos to keep in backpack.

We use early morning hours and leave for lunch and a swim, returning at 4:00 We then wear longer shorts(knee lenght) that will offer protection if we sit on ground for parades/fireworks etc. The only way you may be chilled,is in the very air-conditioned restautants and stores If you do get wet at night, you may not want to be in short shorts and tank top!
If you plan to got off site for dinner etc- you will want a short sleeved shirt with a light throw. It is ALWAYS cold when you are inside the air conditioned restaurants!! Be sure to have ponchos(or buy in park $6 or $7 in park) for showers that pop up (or for protection against wet rides like Kali River Rapids!) and extra shoes. Wear all weather shoes or Crocs that can get damp.

Have fun!!:wizard:

 We are leaving on the 29th and driving down. This is our first drive as a family but I have driven down many times with my family when I was younger. So do the DISers wear certain colors to distinguish themselves from the rest of the masses?
We will be renting a house offsite, first time. We are all excited! As for the clothing, I would pack a light jacket for AC places.
Have a great time....I'm sure we will too!

Maggie

Thanks everyone!

I'm thinking we will each just bring a light jacket for those air-conditioned restaurants. DD12 remembers that it was chilly in LTT in May.

We will be at WDW July 29th - Aug 5th. We go every summer usually the end of June or anytime in July. We NEVER take long sleeves, jackets or pants. We come from humid Missouri so the weather is very much the same as we are used to. We don't generally find ourselves cold unless we have gotten wet from being rained on then ducked into an air conditioned building. But, considering the rain usually is gone in a short time we just go back out and dry in the hot humid air! I suppose the restaurants could be chilly, but after burning down all day long, you will hear no complaints from us. (my family has a "NO COMPLAINTS ALLOWED" policy while in WDW - don't laugh it works.... you complain, you can stay home next year :goodvibes Guess what, no one has stayed home yet! hehe We look at it like - there are all kinds of people that would LOVE to be here right now.... we will not complain that we are hot/cold/tired/etc). I guess my thought is that I don't want to pack more than I need and defintely don't want to carry it around WDW.... so if there is the occasional moment we are chilly, it will pass. We drive down also so there is only so much space! If you think you tend to get chillier than most you might want to bring something to throw on, but in my opinion it is just not neccessary.

Look for me there too! I only have one lime green shirt... not sure what day it will be worn! :thumbsup2 DH refuses to dress alike... but me and DS's made tie dye shirts don't know when we will wear them either!

See you there!!
