Any iPod / iTunes users out there?

I have an iPod and I absolutely love it. Best music player ever, hands down, IMO.

I also have a Mac laptop with iTunes. It does a great job.

But on my windows computer I can not get iTunes to burn a disc. I get an "Unknown Error 4000" when I try. This is a known problem that "some" widows users get..... like me!

But I looked on the net and haven't found a solution yet. Has anybody here had that problem and found a solution?

My DH just bought an Ipod, but figured how to burn a CD prior to owning the Ipod. He runs a windows machine, not a Mac. I'm not sure if he could even help you or not.

He loves his Ipod.

Oh, I understand how to do it. I burn Cds and DVD's all the time. I am quite adept at this stuff. This is a problem with the burning part of the software in iTunes with "some" windows machines. But Thanks.

He had an issue with Itunes as well and had something with it. My DH just bought a new car stereo that plays MP3's so he went to burn some Itunes for CD;s. It took him a while to figure it out also. I never found out what was wrong, but its figured out now.

I didn't type it all out, but I figured you knew how to burn them.

I use iTunes ALOT and have burned several CD's using Windows and haven't had the problem that you are describing. You may need to contact their technical department to see if you need to remove/reinstall the software (which I had to do once with a problem I was having with the program). The only thing that stinks about that is, I lost the songs I had downloaded - but I would think there is a way around that, though I just wasn't thinking at that time (I did have them on CD, so I just redownloaded them, but had I not, I would have called them to see what could be done). I figured the songs would atleast remain on my account, but they didn't. I will do a little research and see if I can come up with anything.

I don't know the answer to your question since I haven't tried to burn a disc, but I do remember seeing a lot of discussion about this on the ipodlounge.com message boards a while back. Did you check there?

I will say that just about everything that I've tried to do with my ipod took about 2-3 times and way longer than I'd expected on my PC. The ipod is just not very intuitive, IMO. But I love it so much it's worth the trouble!

I did check there. Thanks.

BTW, not intuitive? I find it very intuitive, but I'm a tech geek! BTW, iTunes is far better on a Mac even though it really is basically the same program.
