Any insight...magic band question

My daughter and I are going to wdw in early may for a sports event. So her tickets are not going to be available until we pick them up when we arrive since we are purchasing the event tickets. I'm assuming we can just add the ticket to her magic band at that time? I'm purchasing an annual pass this month so I figure I can add that as soon as I purchase it.

Also we are dvc members and staying on points, I finalized our magic bands weeks ago. However I just added 2 additional people to our reservation. How do they get their magic bands? They are only staying with us one night and their tickets are also through the event as well. They then move to swan. Can we load their tickets to their magic bands and they use them the length of their stay?

Sorry for the rookie questions but we haven't been to wdw since they implemented magic bands so I don't have a clue.

Any ticket you link to your MDE account gets automatically linked to any active MB also linked to the account. So your daughter's event ticket will be able to be linked to her band. I'm sure they'll do that for you at ticket issuance, but if not, you can link it yourself using the ticket number.

Because your friends were added to your reservation inside 30 days, they will have to pick up the bands at the resort rather than being shipped them ahead of time. Like your daughter, any ticket linked to the MDE account that their bands are associated with will be on the band. They will work for as many days as they have valid park admission.

You can add the tickets as soon as you have the information from the tickets. Since as you said the sports tickets aren't accessible until you get them on property, you will need to add them to the appropriate MDE account at that time and then try to book FP+. You however can book your FP+ as soon as you link your AP to your MDE account.

As far as the MBs go, does the status show as shipped? If it doesn't show as shipped, and you are still within the window you are able to modify them you should be able to modify MBs for the other 2 guests and they would be shipped to you. If they have shipped, but can still modify them (less than 30 days and more than 10 I believe) you should be able to customize their bands and have them waiting at the front desk. If it is within the 10 days, you cannot customize the other 2 bands and they will receive generic grey bands when they check in. In that case, they would want to add them to their MDE account at that time, and like your daughter, associate the tickets as soon as they get them. Once a MB is issued, it can be used until the band physically stops working.
