We booked the Royal Palms for a week in July this year, and this will be our first time at this resort. I understand that guests at RP can use pools at World Center. I heard that you could not take outside food into the pool at World Center... Anyone experienced this? What about security? Do you have to wear an arm band or some id to prove you are a guest at the Marriott properties? Thanks everyone!

We've stayed at the Sabal Palms which is also on the World Center property (most recent trip was last week) and no, you don't need a wristband to use the World pools or water slides. We don't use the World pool often on our visits, and have never taken food/drinks in. I'm not sure what their policy is on outside food/drinks. I usually bring whatever I want to the Sabal pool though.

We've stayed at the World Center twice, more recently in March of this year. They gave us green bracelets for the pool and there were always security people checking as we walked in. I'm not sure about outside food- I brought granola bars & snacks with no issue. Hope this helps!

The post above was interesting since we have not had to use wristbands the times we've visited, so I called the Sabal Palms for clarification. I was told that at certain busy times of the year, like Spring Break or July 4th, the World Center will require wristbands. Other times, they are not required. It's up to the World Center and wristbands are available at the desks of the Palms for guests.
We have visited in Spring (early May, never Spring Break).

We stayed for a week at Sabal Palms last June and didn't need wrist bands either. We spent nearly a whole day at the World center pools and got food and drinks poolside. Wasn't cheap but wasn't terribly outrageous either. Sabal is a very quick short walk - like 5 minutes. I believe Royal Palms is farther.
