Wonder how they are handling it this year...DH and I are thinking they may move the concerts to across from Mel's...but the parade...

I usually start hearing about the acts in early January. I will keep you guys updated as I hear about Mardi Gras.

First rumor up on Screamscape--Montgomery Gentry March 14. Makes sense, they usually schedule a Southern rock-type band to pull in a few bikers from Bike Week. Also a rumor of a band I've never heard of playing two dates, probably a second stage act, or maybe even the CItywalk stage.

Another rumor is KC & Sunshine band (big shocker!!!) and a second try of Frankie Valli (cancelled last year).

I saw Franki Valli years ago, he couldn't hit the falsetto high notes anymore he would hold out the mike and let the audience do it for him. Lord knows what he would sound like now, maybe just stick to the Grease Theme, Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You and other low note songs.

That was a great concert..

Montgomery Gentry would be a good concert!!

I've missed 2years of Mardi Gras--Not this year...Give me the right band tho!!

Oh yeah, I saw Frankie Vallie back in 1999 and he didn't sound good then. Thank God for the 3 Seasons who kinda covered him up. However, there is something to be said for his wonderful career. Jersey Boys is a favorite musical of mine.

Now that would be a great concert!!Seen them in 1998 in Tampa,they sound just as good in concert as they do on CD!
