Any info on city and dates for Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montanna Concert Tour?

I'm watching the Emmy's right now on Channel 5, and a local Atlanta news station just did a preview for the program with "Many local parents upset because of the lack of available tickets for a popular teen pop stars concert" and showed a pic of HM. Can't wait to watch and see what's said. This whole thing is ridiculous.

When that shows up on their website could you post a link? Thanks!

Ticket scalping is legal in many areas. For example, in my state, the city where the concert will actually be held bans scalping, but it's legal in the rest of the state.

Albany, NY
Times Union Center
January, I believe.
I am hoping to get my dd tickets for xmas.

Geez I don't know what to do, try to get them online or go to a local grocery store that has a ticketmaster window. Figure I could get there early and if I'm not first in line I still have time to run back home and jump on line. Any one have any advice?

I would not do the grocery store. Chances are they would do a lottery anyway. The one person that I know that did the grocery store this weekend got two tickets. The only reason she got them was because she happened to walk in when they were handing out the lottery tickets and her number was chosen. She went to the front of the line and the other people were not happy. Out of everyone in line she was the only one who got seats and she couldn't even get four.

Well its so disappointing to get all hyped up about this concert with the kids and yet now after reading all this thread feeling like I don't even have a chance at tickets anyway:sad2:

I had been reading this thread for the past 3 weeks and I still managed to get some so-so tickets when the general sale started for Chgo on Sat. I did not join the fanclub for the presale last Tuesday but, woke up really early on Sat morning was at my computer by 930am, logged into Ticketmaster (it helps to have an acct set up already) and started hitting the refresh button at the ticket quantity screen at 957am. I honestly didnt think I was going to get any but, I did so, don't lose hope! All you can do is try your best. My DD doesn't even know that I got tickets. I hope to give them to her for her bday next week, if I get them in the mail in time.

Good luck! :thumbsup2 Fast typing also helps! I didnt even check the seat location when it gave me 2 tickets available. I just accepted whatever the system gave me. I will admit, it burns me up to see tickets on broker sites going for outrageous prices when I paid almost $200 dollars for 2 nosebleed seats!

Not 100% on this, but DH said it used to be illegal, but is now legal in IL.

I thought that it still was illegal in IL, but I looked it up and found this from an article that was published in the Wall Street Journal on 10/20/05.

"In a move timely for baseball fans, the biggest recent change has been in Illinois, where the legislature removed its ban on individual Internet ticket auctions. Prior to the move, only licensed brokers could charge more than face value. But now, those selling tickets through approved online channels such as eBay and other legitimate resellers can also post their tickets and ask for prices greater than face value as well."

If you ask me, it should be illegal to sell them for more than the price paid, period.

We were fortunate enough to get seats for the Moline, IL show the day of the public sale. They are nosebleed and as far away from the stage as you can get, but my daughter is very thankful that she is even getting to go.

Best of luck to those of you who are still trying!

I have my free code to get a 30 day membership but when I go onto the website I cannot find where to enter the info. Can anyone please tell me? When I try to set up an account I do not see anywhere to enter the free code.:confused3

My presale is tomorrow as well. I hope ticketmaster doesn't crash, because there are so many cities up for presale tomorrow morning. Did anyone else get a notice that you must live within 75 miles of the city you are purchasing the tickets for or they will be canceled? While I think this is good to discourage scalpers, I feel bad for any little girl whose tickets would be canceled because they live further away.

Good luck everyone!:cool1:

Who did you recieve a notice from about the 75 mile distance?
This is getting so out of hand.
I'm already upset about the 4 ticket limit for the public sale...me and a friend of mine were considering going together but we would be 1 over the limit.
I'm not taking part in the presale based on some comments I read on here I figured I'd save the $30 for the fanclub fee.....so now I'm stuck with having to attempt to get tickets on saturday...UGH! I've never been so stressed out over a concert

I would like to know who you got the notice from as well. We will be driving 3 hours to the concert. That is the closest venue to us and I haven't received anything. I also printed off our tickets with no issue. hmmmmmm:confused3

Directly from Ticketmaster. When I went to see the concert dates, for my city it said zip codes must be within 75 miles from the venue. Otherwise refunds will be issued and tickets cancelled. This may be different from one venue to another or something new to all of us 9/25 presales. I will try to find the direct quote to clarify.
