Any info on cats reaction to their booster

Took two of my cats for their annual booster and worming today. One of them is fine the other under the weather, i have contacted the vet this evening and he is not unduly worried unless he is still the same in the morning.

Smarty is lethargic although he has just gone out into the garden, but has no appetite even for tuna or chicken, purring well and responsive. He normally tucks into his food no problem. He was quite distressed when he came back from vets as he very rarely goes there. He also had two ((because he weighs 14 pounds) drontal tablets for worm treatment.

I know i am probably panicking about nothing but have never had a cat react to a booster before and wondered if anyone can offer any advice etc. Thanks all, you know how daft i am about my kitties.

Mine have all been fine, just keep an eye on Smarty Make sure he is still drinking and if you are still worried in the morning contact the vets again if you are still worried.

i used to be a vet nurse so......smartie may be off because of the stress from visiting the vets rather than the actual injection,or the injection may have been a live strain type vaccine and has made him come down with a small dose of the flu
with the fast onset im tempted to think its stress more than anything in that case he should be a lot better tomorrow.
as kaylee said make sure he gets plenty of water and keep him warm and quiet

Managed to get him to have a drink last night, picked up all the food so i could see if he would eat this morning. He arrived on the bed at 6 this morning demanding breakfast, he ate about a 1/4 of his normal amount which i was so pleased to see. He is now sleeping on the bed. Overall i would say there is a 75% improvement on last night. I phoned the vet and the head nurse said they have been using a different vaccine for the past few months and this may well have been the reason for the reaction, they have noted this on his records for next time. Cats who would have them.........more grey hairs to add to the rest. Thanks all for your help and advice last night.

awww that made me smile kaylee i always preferred cats to dogs and i had a rather nasty bite from a black lab once put me off them for life (sorry tim )

I'm glad your kitty is OK. Mine both have to have 2 doses as well as they are big cats (Cheeky has to travel in a small dog box as he will not fit in the cat box!)
