Any info about the Hard Rock Hotel?

We are staying two nights in November at the Hard Rock Hotel...anyone have any comments/suggestions for us? Is it a nice hotel?
We have never been to Universal/IOA in Florida (we have been to the Hollywood Universal as we are from California).
We will be arriving really early on a Saturday morning and checking out on a Monday--then on to WDW. Our kids are boys--
ages 8 and 13--needless to say they are really excited--any suggestions as to what to see and where to eat would be appreciated!
We are hoping the Ultimate Express pass thing works well! We will be there the weekend BEFORE Thanksgiving--How are the crowds at this time?

Go to the Universal/Islands of Adventure Forum. Lots of info there about the HRH and the parks.

Your kids are the PERFECT ages for these parks! Ideal! They will love it.
