I just got my AAA newsletter in the mail today. They are advertising January as "Disney Month" at AAA. The ad states that if you book with them in the month of January you will enjoy an "extra benefit!". Does anyone have any idea what this is? I'm sure its just a pipe dream, but I was kinda hoping it was free dining???:confused3

I haven't seen 2007's offer, but I booked in Jan 2005 and the deal was:

AAA room discount and you could add dining plan (usually have to pay rack rate to get Dining Plan)
$25 in Disney Dollars
Luggage Tags
"Special Gift" which ended up being a small photo album

I just booked a trip to WDW with AAA for January 27-31st...they didn't tell me about any Disney dollars. I will have to call and ask about that. They did tell me that I would get a gold card that I could show at restaurants and gift stores that could get me 10% off with participating merchants. We have no kids but they also said that as a AAA member we could get a free reading with a Disney character.

Here in Ohio our AAA has a Disney night on Jan 11. It states, the first 150 members to book a qualifying trip with AAA Travel will receive Disney AAA benefits, discounts and a free guide.
Don't they offer better parking and a place to get a free soda in the park?
I plan on going to this and find out more.
We are hoping for a trip in Oct.

Last year I booked in Jan(AAA disney month)and I recieved all the same things that come in a disney package, luggage tags, PH voucher etc. And i also recieved the aaa benefits of story time with beel and a free soda. You can get that all year. The only perk was a disney clock which I had to ask for several times and then I was told they ran out of them and had to settle for a photo album.

If I am not mistaken, you have to book during Jan to get the goodies.

According to AAA Carolinas, you get a "free" $25 gift certificate for booking in January.

Booking through AAA does get you access to the parking but they closed the reception lounge that had the soda.pirate:

You have to book your package during the month of Jan., and you have to travel by May 31st I believe.

You get a $25 Disney Gift card if you book a package with the dining plan. If you book a platinum package then you get a $50 card.

There are also additional OBC's for DCL bookings.

In our AAA magazine Journey the ad only mentions this...by booking a trip through AAA (here in Washington) you will get a Disney tote bag (while supplies last). There is no mention of a gift card or free dining. Additionally, the Wa state AAA website has no info on booking WDW packages.

Just didn't want to get peoples hopes up if there is the potential for different states to offer different "perks".

Remember you don't have to use the AAA office in your state. Our agent is in Maryland - almost 2,000 miles away! She's been wonderful to work with, probably easier than booking locally because I never have to go farther than the mailbox to get my docs! ;)
