I was lucky enough to attend their first two shows of the tour and they played five songs that are going to be on the new album to be released on September 19th. :goodvibes I booted the shows (as I always do) and posted them on my website. If you'd like to hear the new songs three months early then go here and you can download them. You can get the entire shows if you go here and then click MP3s and then Woodland Park Zoo and Oregon Zoo.

There is a new young artist coming out of Washington State who also appeared at the Woodland Park show with Amy and Emily. Her name is Brandi Carlile and if you get a chance, please download her performance of "Hallelujah." This girl will blow you away! I am not the type to "take" to new artists, especially during an Indigo Girls show, well but I swear after leaving the IG show it is Brandi Carlile whose voice is stuck in my head. She is amazing! I love that a cute lesbian with a strong voice is coming out of my state! I believe she is going to go very far!

Here's a few pictures from the Woodland Park Zoo show.

And this is Brandi Carlile:

I am going now to listen!!!!

We booked an Olivia cruise last year because they were performing....huge huge fans!!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only IG fan here! :goodvibes Here's another link for you. You can see them perform two of their new songs live. Very nice!

Cool!! I will have to watch it after work  I guess I shouldn’t now!!
And no you are not the only fan here!! Did you ever get to see them perform with the Atlanta Ballet? It was incredible!!
And thanks for the songs I couldn’t wait till September.

Oh and thanks for the pictures!

No, unfortunately I did not get to see them perform with the Atlanta Ballet. I live in Washington State so that would have been a really long trip. I regret it though as I've heard wonderful things about it! Did you get to see it?

We did!!! I took my girl as a surprise...she thought we were going to Disney!! It was believable because sometimes we do have layovers in Atlanta! She is in no way a fan of the ballet and I figured the only way I was going to get to see one was by including the Indigo Girls! She did love it so all was good!

I am indeed a fan. I was in the crowd the night that "Live at the Uptown Lounge" video was taped. I can not be seen in the crowd, but one of my ex's can be. I was there the night before too, but the night before was so oversold that they ended the show after just a few songs because the fire marshall closed down the show due to overcrowding.

I have been a fan since before the days of the major record contract deal, but not so far back as to have owned a copy of the "Blue Food" tape. Emily is such a great singer and songwriter. Years ago, I had a major crush on Amy, until I saw that she had a flat butt. :p But, that's ok, because many people have said that my honey looks a bit like Emily, but I think Gabby is cuter.

I have seen them many times at many different concerts over the years, both big and small. I think my favorite show was many years ago when they performed at the Cherry Blossum Festival in Macon, GA. It was a magical night. Maggie

Yes, we did. I liked the show, but found the ballet part of the show to be distracting. Actually, I had a migraine triggered by a performance piece done prior to the show that had a guy using a strobing light effect. Oh well, it was cool to be in the front row for free. Ya' gotta love the occasional workplace perk. Maggie

We love the Girls! We ran into Emily at the Fox Theatre (in the bathroom of all places!) at the Sheryl Crow concert a couple of weeks ago. I had a nice conversation with her about the band Three5human (awesome btw, check them out).

Oh my gosh - without being creepy whacko, I am definately the girl's biggest fan! Check out my username.

As for Brandi Carlisle, I picked up her album at Barnes & Noble last fall. I really like her, though she is in that "one day I'll look back and laugh at how green I was" stage. Her songwriting shows great promise. She's adorable and she has such an incredible voice. Is she verifiable family?

I saw them at the Biltmore Estate on my birthday a couple of years ago. It was the best concert I have ever been to (and that's WITH my car breaking down and all of the crap that ensued!).
