Any incentives ever when buying at Sold out resorts?

I want to buy an add on a BWV but 95pp is pretty high when you can get a resale at about 82pp-85pp. Do they ever have any incentives to buy there? I read once that they got like an extra 100points if you bought 100points. True or un true?

There are RARELY any incentives at the sold out resorts. If I recall correctly, there was a slight discount offered around this time last year but it was only for OKW, VB and HHI. Even at current prices DVC has little trouble reselling points at BWV, BCV and VWL, so I doubt you will see any specials there.

Another thing to note is that for any resale contracts of less than 150 points, the per-point price tends to be noticably higher than contracts of 150+. With DVC's minimum sale level of 150 points, there are a lot of people who are forced to go resale to get smaller contracts, and the bidding almost always drives the price up considerably. If you are seeing BWV resale contracts in the $82-85 range, I am guessing they are all 150+. Plan on paying 10-15% more for a contract of 100 or less.

The "bonus points" that some refer to relate to when you receive the first set of points with respect to your Use Year. Let's say you have an April Use Year and add-on in December '06. You would receive all of your 2006 points with the add-on, and then get another full set in just about 3 months from now. DVC will normally allow exceptions to the standard banking rules for that first set of points, and pay pro-rated annual dues on the points.

Ok, Thanks, I am just trying to figure out if I want to buy in at BWV so I can get the Boardwalk view when I want.
