We're a family of 4 with 2 college age girls and we're looking for something different to do on our next May vacation.

What are some good non-park things to do at WDW?

They can be Disney or non-Disney...just something fun that you and your family have done on past WDW trips that you really enjoyed.

We like to resort hop.Every resort is different, and all are interesting in one way or another.

We treated our grandkids to a set of spa treatments at GF's spa. I'll bet college age girls would be thrilled with a spa day.

We took 2 college-aged boys who loved renting the water mice (or whatever they're called now).

Well, this is sort of expensive, but pretty cool...Includes lunch on the day of, in addition to a bonus of seven days consecutive admission to SeaWorld...

Last time, DH, DSD and I went to Discovery Cove. Really cool. Swam with manta rays, mini sharks, and a 30 minute supervised interaction with a dolphin. I have to say this was the highlight of our trip (and the only portion of the trip we left WDW for). Beautiful lazy river that goes thru a tropical bird aviary, etc.

discovery cove was really nice. i will probaly never go again because of the price 249 a person, but its definetly worth it to go the one time. expect to spend 100 dollars on pictures and video but its well worth it. 149 without the dolphin.
we had plans to go horseback riding at disneyworld but they had thunderstorms in the area so they cancelled it.
go to the adventure club and comedy club at pleasure island.
take a tour.

Hi! I'm a 21 yr old university student in UK - so I'll list a few of the non-park things I love to do - hope this helps!

*Afternoon tea at Grand Floridian - Garden View Lounge
*Horse wagon ride at Fort Wilderness in evening - pulls up on beach to watch water pageant.
*Visit Boardwalk in evening - watch entertainment and have fortune told (morgana is excellent) and go to Beach Club - Beaches and Cream ice cream.
*Backstage Tour - I did 7hr Backstage Magic Tour at Xmas - was fantastic. Was quite expensive but well worth it! Went backstage at MK/Epcot/MGM/Xmas warehouse/florist/costuming and many other places!Amazing!Also included lovely lunch at Mama melrose's
*Discovery cove - great day
*Hire bikes or boat - at wilderness lodge or port orleans riverside.
*Cirque du soleil
*Nightvision watch at Animal Kingdom Lodge resort
*visit Winter Park - not far away if you have a car - lovely place - can take a scenic boat tour and look at all beautiful mansions. Charles Homer Museum - tiffany glass. Upmarket shops.

Just wanted to second Cirque. That's a fabulous show!

We also like to resort hop, and last time we went to AKL and had a great time looking at the animals on the Savannah and talking with a cast member out there who was from Cape Town. It was really fun, and free!

Have you tried an Illuminations cruise? For about $150 up to 10 people can charter a boat and captain to sail around the lakes near BCV, Swan and Dolphin from 8om until 9pm, then park under the bridge between England and France and watch the fireworks. This does not require park admission. You can bring food along and our captain had soft drinks and water as well.
