im looking into booking for October 2016 at Disney sometime. I'd really like to find a great discount because the last time we went I didn't get much of one. I booked that trip a little last minute so I didn't have much to work with. What are some possible discounts that I might see for then? I want room, ticket, and dining.

We are also looking at going in October 2016. It will be our FIRST WDW trip!
Thank you for starting this thread! I will be following...

October 25-31
November 8-19
December 15-21
Requirements:

2014:

August 31 – October 3, 2014
October 26 – November 1, 2014
November 9 – 20, 2014

Good to know about the Columbus Day week. We should just miss that. We arrive on Sept. 30 and check out on Oct 8th, 2016. Columbus day is Monday the 10th. We have always visited in Feb or Sept and have always had the Free Dining. We still pay about 1500 to up grade to the Deluxe, but I could not see Not having it. Helps save money for the cruises that follow.

August 28-October 2

Ok so If I've booked for Oct 1-10, I could qualify for free dining and it would extend throughout my stay even though only one is in the original offer period? Is it likely this bounceback offer currently available will even see the Chase Cardholders or the General Public?

If you check in on a day that FD is offer you have it for your whole stay (up to 14 days). The dates I listed were for the FD GP, not the BB. the last 2 years, Disney Visa card holders did not get an advance booking window, it went straight to GP/

I actually never realized that's how free dining works, maybe I have a chance after all. I'm not booking a bounceback or anything, just hoping for some kind of discount. As it stands with a 10 year old and myself Free Dining would be a pretty big reduction of the overall package compared to a 20% room discount that is only going to apply from Sun-Thurs.

will be interesting to see how this plays out next year. Room discounts only on weeknights, rumors of different ticket prices based on when you go. I am planning a family trip for November 2016 and was hoping for FD. At POP its the best discount for myself and my 2 "Disney Adult" children which is why I have been saving the historical FD dates. No idea what to use for budgeting purposes.........

Agreed, I'm currently booked CBR but if there's anemic discounts I'll go with Pop since that seems very fun as well. With 2 of us I don't see the point in splurging for a big room if there's no other benefit for it.

We are not going till the end of Sept/Beginning of Oct but did not want to deal with any of that different ticket price thing so we booked last wee. We will see how it goes this first year and then decided for our next trip if we can do any better based on when we go.

Im hoping for a resort discount for Oct 2016 after the first week. What are the chances of that?

Well we just changed our ressie to Nov 30-Dec 10th 2016. So now I'm crossing fingers for some kind of deal for then:worship::santa:pixiedust:

We booked with a TA that we've worked with before & liked. The total was $2200 for six nights at the Poly in late October.
